Morning all
I am still struggling to get into the SW habits. Its only been a couple of days (and i havent been to supermarket yet so am making the best of the food i have in) but im not feeling the love yet!
I have had strawberries and blackberries covered in nat yoghurt for breakfast:A
I have brought salad (baby spinach, tomatoes, cucumber) + grilled chicken breast for lunch + cottage cheese.
Am i right in thinking thats all free so far (if i'm on a red day)?
Don't know what to have for tea thoughI dont think i have any more meat in. I have a Morrisons breaded haddock (posibly cod
) in the freezer (it was fresh, came in pack of 2 but i ate 1 and froze 1 a couple of weeks ago). Does anyone know how many syns that would be?
Thanks0 -
Hi hun, you have to go shopping!
I can only feel content on SW when the right foods are in the house - otherwise you are constantly thinkning about what you want but have no freebies in to fill up on instead.
Your salad lunch is free for red. Tin of tuna for tea? or bacon & egg?
(Not sure on the breaded fish)

You'd do yourself a big favour by going shopping, then you have the things in the house that you know you can eat lots of!0 -
Morning all
I am now thinking of changing all my meals on the planner that I have and editing theem from original days to green days!! I am feeling like green days will fill me up much more!
findingmyownway - take a look on the website, it should tell you the syn value......
Had beans on toast this morning so that would be my HEB x 1
Lunch will be Jacket spud with beans and VLF cottage cheese
Dinner will be Chilli - Mince will be my other HEB and I will have either rice or Jacket with it - kidneybeans will be my free
So hopefully, my only syns for the day will be the tea spoon of LF spread on my toast this morning - need to save some for the alcohol I had on Wednesday eveningIt's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0 -

Basically you cut down on bread and all the fattening things, and have red or green days. On a red day you can eat as much lean meat as you want, and on a green day you can have pasta, rice or potatoes.
That is just a really rough outline, and you would need to go into it in more depth, but I find it loads easier than any other dietYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
I am on a green day, and have just had a quick cook rice, curry flavour from Aldi.
I thought it would be free on green, but just used the syn calculator on the SW website, and it says it is 8 syns  Please someone tell me this isn't rightYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I am obviously so traumatised that I have posted twice
Edit to say just done it again, and it looks like it's free on a green. Thought I had really fallen off the wagon, and didn't really enjoy it that muchYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Hi all,
I have been doing Slimming World since oct 2007 and am doing very well. Lost just over 2 stone. I chose to join SW because I am a shift worker and one week out of 9 I might not be able to attend a class anywhere. It says on the website that if you notify your consultant in advance of shift work then you will not be charged for missing week and I was also told this (and had in writing on an info sheet typed by a consultant) by my original condultant.
Due to my shift work I am registered at 2 different SW groups (one by work, one by home) and they share my details, so have 2 consultants. I have only missed 2 weeks due to shift work as I have gone out of my way to attend another class as I prefer not to miss class.
My problem is that this week i took a holiday and informed my 2nd consultant in advance by text. She replied saying this was my 5th holiday and quoted the 2 dates of shift work as holidays. I am not happy with this as was assured that they would not be holidays.
Can anyone shed any light on whether this happens elsewhere in their SW groups?
I am going to email both my SW consultants on weekend but just wanted to check.
thanks in advance
