16011996 - I had a look too - thats fab but nothing near me either - nearest is about 15miles away - shame really but I'll keep looking! I did well when I went to a Thursday class - you have time to make up for any flexible weekends which helps - it really focusses your mind for those 4 days!
  • Hi Peachyest

I have been using my syns but not all of them - i am full and satisfied on what I am eating, just concerned that my leader will not thinking I am eating enough. I dont want to use my syns on chocolate because unfortunately it will set off cravings and make me over indulge (the reason I am overweight in the first place!) But i am using them for butter on my jacket potato and counting them in foods that arent free.

I am not hungry through the day and I think my appetite is slowly getting used to 3 meals plus snacks a day. Does anyone else find this?

Friday classes are good - no better day than to start on a Saturday!

hi everyone :hello: , i think we should start a tip for the day . well mine to day is quark - when you put anything in it over night it takes that flavor , not everyone will like it but i do , i put a tsp of philadelphie light garlic & herb in half the pot and put the syns down on your sheet , then its there to put on bread or jackets , or put laughing cow lights in the other half and it makes your cheese allowace stretch or syn some mayo try that

Thats a great tip peachyest! I've only used quark a few times - etc for making chilli chicken kievs, but I'll remember to mix it! :j
  • I made a dessert at the weekend using Quark - to which I added lemon juice and lemon zest - mixed it up, then popped into small dishes (you dont need much - its very filling) then I added passion fruit on top. It was delicious and better still - nil points! Also you can make a kind of ice cream out of it. Freeze a chopped up banana (it may work with other fruits too like strawberries but I havnt tried it yet). In a blender, whizz the frozen banana with quark and eat straight away.
