It would have to have that for me, in our crowded streets at least. We have a Hyundai i800 which is a bus.. not automatic.. but it serves us well. Twinkle has been in trouble for piffling about in worship..They are supposed to have the shcool disco tomorrow night but it is 4-5.. and they finish school at 3:15, usually it is 3:25 before they are gathered, toileted, regathered and dressed.. and 3:45 before we get hme so by the time we are home and changed and taken back to school it will be around 4:20 and it would be too loud for us to be admitted so they just cannot go because it is impossible to navigate.
I have a meeting with the senco tomorrow to discuss Twinkles referral for ASD assessment.. we are also waiting for the SALT assessment.. she has echolalia, palalalia and a stammer going on.

CofG that has reminded me. DS2 put some very specific guitar picks on his Christmas list so I ordered them online and they arrived when DH was home alone. He signed for them but after that no-one knows where they went. DH thinks he gave them to me, I have no memory of this. We have looked in all the obvious places. They were only £8.50 but it is so annoying.
That is a very cool vehicle Pigpen but I would be a nervous wreck driving it.
6.5 hours at the paid stuff, I have to attend an evening Teams call later to smooth out a problem with a difficult customer. My sinuses hurt and I feel grumpy. My manager asked why I was at work looking so ill. Well mainly because my work will just continue to pile up if I don't make an attempt to keep on top of it.Valli I sometimes put my Lycra gym stuff in the drier to finish it off if it's been over the airer but wouldn't dry it straight out if the machine.
I have given up on the idea of Flying this week.11 -

Evening all.
I checked the email received last week from S - who was supposed to collect the pile of books yesterday but didn't - and my reply to it, and realised that she hadn't come because I had said I would confirm the date asap. (At the time I replied to her, we were thinking of spending yesterday visiting some elderly friends near our former home, but we still haven't heard back from them.) So what I eventually wrote to S this morning was an apology for not getting back to her sooner and a list of possible dates/times in the coming week. It really would be easier if I could just deliver the books to her house or to the parish office at the church in town where she is based, but there are some hand-me-ons that I can find another home for if she doesn't want them - and anyway, it would be nice to have a cuppa and a chat with her.
The internet dropouts this morning made any sort of computer work impossible (I could only read and send emails because I've worked out how to get round the problem by turning off wifi on my phone), so when DH came back from his appointment with the podiatrist I insisted that he phone the Bee-Tee helpline again. The agent ran several tests on our line and agreed that there was an intermittent fault somewhere. To our relief he understood what we are experiencing as he has been in a very similar position himself, with a bad non-fibre service. He has told us how we might swap to a better system, but has also arranged for an outdoor engineer to call on Monday morning. The saga continues, but there may be some light at the end of the dark communications tunnel at last.
I did a bit of ancestor sorting before we went out for lunch with L (who had her big heart op last summer) and her husband, and used a 40% of mains voucher that I had received - so £19 off the bill Then there was just time to walk Rosie before it began to get dark, though she was disappointed that the squirrels in the big Covert appeared to have gone to bed exceptionally early.
I'd best put a plate of salad bits together for a light supper now. And relaaaaax.....

Evening all
Thanks for your very kind support on my finishing my DMP. Today, I actually paid the final agreed discounted amount. So I am officially now debt free! It's been quite emotional all-in-all. I held it all together until the lady on the phone today, after the payment went through, said in a genuinely pleased tone "congratulations on being debt free!" I managed to not fall apart until the end of the phone call. I've had little blubs off and on but also moments of contentment knowing it's all been sorted and I don't owe anyone anything anymore...
Flying wise, apart from decluttering the final debt, I've done 2WM and 4TD (the WM holds a lot more that the TD can cope with so WM loads often get dried in halves!). 1DW and the following emptying.
My green garden bin arrived from the council today (now I'm retired, I ordered it because I'll have time to fill it up gradually rather than end up with several black bags after a weekend blitz that need to be taken to the tip). So, after lunch, I got out my Cricut machine and designed and 'cut' an appropriately sized number of my address (which has three elements) on sticky-back vinyl which has now been added to the 2024 sticker they sent me and stuck to the bin lid so they know it's to be collected and where to return it to... First collection is next Weds so I need to find time to potter in the garden to put something in it so it's worth the while putting it out for them!
Hope you are all OK xxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

@pigpen until a couple of years ago I didn't even know there were people who just clean cookers, although I shouldn't have been surprised I suppose as you can pay people to do just about anything these days. I used someone about a year ago and he did a fantastic job and, like yours, was very reasonably priced. I rang him a couple of months ago as I wanted it doing again but he didn't ring back and I keep forgetting to ring again. I must have another go at contacting him or, if doesn't respond, another company. I recall asking him what was the worst cooker he'd every cleaned and he said it was his son's in his university accommodation.@YORKSHIRELASS I know that feeling very well - especially around Christmas. I hope they turn up.I made tea, washed up, popped out to a local shop for an onion and some potatoes for our mince and mash supper as I forgot to buy them earlier. Made and ate mince, mash and veg, washed up and have watched a bit of tennis. Just A's breakfast things to do and the night time eye routine.8

Narco - it is completely natural to feel how you do. And never, ever feel bad for sharing just because others are in different situations - we are happy for each other, support each other and cheerlead for one another. Do you have an airfryer you can use? I literally never use the range anymore, it's too expensive and the airfryer is just perfect for me and the children.
Quite a lot of time in WAC club last night or maybe it was just a good book; either way I could have done with more sleep. Anyway I've just had a message from Mr N and he arrived safely, it is warm and there are a lot of bee-eaters and other birds outside his window (his first week is on a riding ranch we have been to many times, it is in the middle of nowhere so I'm not expecting a lot from the internet but I know he will message when he can).
- did a bit more of report
- went to Pilates
- went to drumming lesson
- picked up a few things from Mr T as I walked through but annoyingly forgot to take the scrunchable plastic waste for recycling with me.
- remembered to bring the bins in
- ordered some theatre tickets for June with my discount
- printed off paperwork for another student. They have been very short staffed in admin plus the uni mail security system is being really picky so messages aren't getting through, so I think there is a backlog of work - I'm hoping so just to feel I'm still earning for a few more months; at present I have just one booking at the end of Feb. Uni Helpdesk's comment about their email glitch was that I should ask my IT department to do something (didn't understand what); I emailed back and pointed out that I don't have an IT department, it is just me! Having said that, my pension statement of what I will actually get from April arrived today.
I have a lot of flying planned for tomorrow before my Step class at 1pm; I aim to put the immersion heater on when I make my cup of tea so by the time I've had breakfast I can do a load of washing up and cleaning. I've got enough clothes for a wash too if the weather looks ok.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
ooh it’s been a wild night. DD is flying to Rejkavik (sp?) and i suspect her flight time might be a. little shorter…

Morning all xx
Blustery again. Does it have a name or is it just windy? 🤔
Thank you piggers xx
I came home to find that NN had refelted the shed roof while I was at at work. Lovely surprise. And wouldn't take any money for doing it. (I bought the materials). Says it's a thank you for helping them out by putting the chickens to bed sometimes. I've said I'll be the chicken put to bedder any time they like. 😊
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, supped my brew completed Connections (easy today) and Wordle won't load!
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I go. Groundhog. Groundhog.
In other news my aunt phoned me last night. (Pops gave uncle and aunt my number when DB was in hospital earlier this week. I get on very well with my aunt but not been in contact for years, so good to have a catch-up) Now I'll find things out 🤣. Such as: Pops had his wallet stolen the first week they were in Benidorm!!! And my uncle now has the virus that DB had, passed out, and is in bed ( at home) on antibiotics. As is DB's mil. Is it just a local thing? 🤔
Better crack on. Love to all

Morning all,
Another blowy night here, I am craving still, frosty days!
Far, far too much to do today as per usual. So far:
- Babes away to school
- Beds made
- Coal delivery taken and paid for
- Kitchen floor and sofa hoovered
- Kitchen sofa spot cleaned where older dog was sick earlier this morning
- DW unloaded
- WM has just finished
- Dry laundry FUPA
I need to go out later to collect a prescription, get some cash, pick up something at the DIY store and maybe, just maybe, treat myself to fish and chips for lunch. First and foremost though I need to email one report to my boss (self imposed deadline 9.30am), then eat something and hoover the car out (I was quoted £50 for a full valet which I would LOVE but just cannot justify at all).
Have fab days friends xx10
