the message states that.we have been asked by the dwp to carry out an assessment for your esa.this is part of wca.I have just come cross goverment sites that states that if esa review dates has passed. i believe my assessment was due December 2023. uc will apply 3 months referral from the date of uc claim
In your previous comment you said you returned the ESA50 form in December 2023 and haven't heard anything since. The assessments are the same for ESA and UC so you won't be sent more forms with UC right now.

Maybe it's the work capability assessment for the ESA50 form you returned? Was it a letter you received in the post or a message on your journal?

Surely this relates to your ongoing ESA reassessment then (not a UC application)...you've returned the form and the typical next step is for the assessment company to look at your case and perhaps carry out in person assessment (possibly by phone now) unless in the rare event the DWP decide not necessary. As poppy says the WCA is the same for UC and the outcome (e.g. Support Group aka LCWRA) would carry over to UC.

I can see you've since edited your comment.
In my opinion this WCA appointment is a result of your ESA50 form returned in December 2023, not your recent UC migration.

I'm confused, I'm sure when I first read your comment above it didn't actually say what it says here. Yet I posted my comment after you edited yours.

Yes, it's an appointment for the WCA for your ESA50 returned back in 2023.

Good afternoon.I am wondering if someone can clarify this matter thanks.I have called the dwpto querry about my wca assessement thst is due to take place on the 28th of this month. After they looked at my file they have asked me to call health assessment center and ask them to cancel the appointment. indeed the wca  had  been cancelled cause my esa claim closed on the 30th of december. due to me migrating to uc since the18th of december. and I am on universal credit.would my lwcra status get transferred to my uc automatically.or shall expect another assessement through uc.or the assessement stopped completely. Thank you

If you were on the ESA support group previously you wouldn't need a WCA assessment if you are migrating across to universal Credit. But I also don't think it should be down to you to inform them it should be cancelled by them.
