No, you will not receive any confirmation that a report or file has been returned. If a paper based assessment is completed, you won't know until you receive the decision letter.A decision letter is good. I wasn't sure if anything would be sent if a decison to keep someone in the WRAG was made. In the past there have been threads here which indicated that the DWP had simply made the decision and not notified the person. This is one area where the use of texts to keep people informed at all stages of the review process would be useful.Good timing in asking if I've heard anything as I have just heard something!I phoned HAAS (the people who do the assessments) on 13/03/24 and was informed that my file was with the medical team and that I should hear something about an appointment in the next two or three weeks. It sounded like the person who I was speaking to was reading from what he could see on a computer screen so it came... across... as... very... stop / start. I felt a bit uneasy about it, worrying that my phone call might have triggered an appointment letter being sent out. This uneasyness increased when I checked my GP medical records later that same day and saw that half an hour after I had phoned HAAS, a note had been entered on my GP record to say that a form had been received from "jobcentreplus". I was convinced that HAAS must have sent an ESA113 (a medical questionnaire that gets sent to GPs) by some electronic means. The following day the completed questionnaire, filled in by my GP, was uploaded to my medical record. It was an ESA113 but had been posted to my Doctors with a date on the form of 11 March 2024, two days before I phoned HAAS. It turned out to be nothing but a spooky coincidence. Of course an appointment letter may still be on its way...Spooky too that you posted your question to me about an hour before I phoned HAAS and an hour and a half before the receipt of ESA113 form was noted on my GP record!Hi Robbie. I hope you don’t mind me asking how did this go? I still haven’t heard a peep from them, which I am not complaining about but does make me anxious as I know it must be coming soon.0 -
I still haven't heard anything from them either. I did phone HAAS / CHDA last Friday and got the same reply as I did in March, that my file is with "the medical team". i think that must be the scrutiny check stage. It's 4 months ago since I returned my ESA50...

I have just looked up my friends ESA review.Last one was 2017, had the review and was told 2019 for the new one.Nothing from them.I don't know for sure if they are linked to PiP buttt.A 10 year PiP was given around 2019, maybe that is why nothing has come in since.Who knows.0

any have an idea if the dwp started assessment thank youI also sent an ESA50 in December. There are massive backlogs at present and new claims are being prioritised over reviews.Something will be happening but it's taking a while for the assessment provider (AP) to do everything that needs to be done. Your form is most likely stuck at the scrutiny stage, or if it has oprogressed beyond that, either awaiting an appointment date for an assessment or if your file has been returned to the DWP, awaiting a Decision Maker to look at it (there are backlogs there too). You could give the AP a phone call to ask for an update. It won't (or shouldn't) trigger an appointment letter and the contact centre person you speak to will be able to update you on what is happening at present. You might find your file has been returned to the DWP on a paper assessment and you are then waiting for the DWP to make a decision and there are backlogs there too.

I had a call from CHDA at the end of April, was asked a few questions relating to my current health and then my file was returned to the DWP on a paper-based assessment. I've been placed in the Support Group though this is only for 12 months, which means that I will / may have to go through it all again at some point early next year.Hopefully you've heard something positive from the assessment provider or the DWP since you last posted / logged in.0 -

I still haven’t heard a thing. Sorry to hear you have been unwell, and hope you are back on the road to better health. Would your case have been prioritised as you were hospitalised? I returned my WCA back before Christmas as it was due to be returned on Christmas Day. So almost 6 months since I returned my form and still not heard anything but am still receiving my ESA payments so they must have received the forms.0 -

The contact centre agent did say that review ESA50s were taking a while to be dealt with and that new claims were taking a priority. It does suggest that there is a long wait for reviews to be dealt with unless there is something urgent that needs to be dealt with. It also suggests that the DWP undertook a review exercise at the back end of 2023 which is beyond the capacity of CHDA to be able to deal with in a timely fashion.0
