Just seen the new Natwest/Ulster/RBS switch offer available and was thinking of switching the Co-Op current account to this.0 -

I would imagine you need to keep the account open, i am not risking it, rbs/natwest/ulster seem to do offers fairly regularly so worst case scenario if miss this one could go for it next time. both of my sacrificial accounts are waiting on payouts (this one with coop, and the new TSB account, which is not payable until the end of march) so don't want to open another sacrificial account.
Plus technically having had a switch offer from Ulster in March 2023, and RBS November or December 2021, not technically eligible. I know many have got away with multiples from the brands in the past, but don't want to risk a natwest offer in case don't get it, when i know i will get the savings account payment. (may last natwest one was in 2018, so if did go for that one, i would be eligible under the timeframes if the loophole does work). do note its interesting that the natwest/rbs offer states the minimum pay in has to be in for at least 24 hours, thats not something that is usually the case, so may catch some people out.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..5 -
My 5 debits cleared on 14th, but not had my £100 yet or an email confirming I've met conditons. Anyone else in a similar boat?0

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
