I've popped along here as I applied in the early hours of the 19th (technically the evening of the 18th). Got the 'Thank you for your application' at the time of pressing submit, and then later on the afternoon of the 19th I got the 'Thank you for applying - we're still processing your application and we'll do our best to let you know our decision in the next few days' - and haven't heard anything since. It's now been 11 days since application - is there anyone else still waiting from an application on the 19th? I was thinking it was due to the influx of applications which resulted in the offer being pulled so quickly - so before I try and get hold of them for an update - is this a common position at the moment to have waited this long with no definitive response?

"We're delighted to tell you that subject to a few formalities, we've approved your application.Once we have everything we need, you'll receive the paperwork and information for your new account within a few days."
Nothing received since then.

I also applied on the 18th, got the two emails you describe on the 19th.. and nothing but radio silence since.cymruchris said:I've popped along here as I applied in the early hours of the 19th (technically the evening of the 18th). The application reference on both emails was also different for some reason..1 -
I applied at the +/- 11th hour on the 19th. I applied for a switch also at that time.cymruchris said:I've popped along here as I applied in the early hours of the 19th (technically the evening of the 18th). So far, I have received an email and a letter acknowledging my application but nothing more.
Not panicking yet!

I applied on 17th to switch from Barclays
Got the email saying approved etc the next day
Then nothing.
Switch date 12th Feb
Then last Friday I got a letter in the post from the fraud team asking me to contact them. Rang and confirmed it was me opening the account. They advised I'll start receiving the card and PIN etc now.
Got the email yday with account details and bank card today.
Hope this settles some of the worried folk who haven't heard anything.2 -
I applied 17th, same switch date as DPR87 - 12th
18th - email saying subject to formalities it was approved
22nd - email with sort code and account number
24th - welcome confirmation email with PIN and card sent
got the saver opened (confirmed 28th)
Received card on I think Friday / Saturday? and PIN on Mon iircSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Did that qualify as debit card transactions? I tried the same approach because I couldn't remember my visa secure password either.crumpet_man said:I can't remember my visa secure password and have added the debit card to Googlepay and used that to make some small deposits to Chip.
The Chip transactions cleared yesterday and I'd already met all the other switching terms, so in theory the bonus should be paid today. However no sign of it yet.

For the ones who have already been paid.....
As the site states the debit card transactions/£1k are to be done FOLLOWING the switch, I was looking at maybe early to mid March if/when I got my £100.
So did you do the various 'qualifiers' before the switch was finalised as the payment seems very quick.0 -
that is a good point it does seem quick, so wondering if also including what was done in the run up to the switch as well. My switch is due to 12th but have used the debit card 3 times to date (first to check was working ok when received and then other two when i was out and about and making a few card payments any way) so would be interesting to know if need to do 2 more card payments or a further 5?)Bazzalona13295 said:For the ones who have already been paid.....

By the letter of the offer, it must be 5 AFTER the switch completes, same as paying in £1000 and having 2 DD/SO but then again it also says you need to open the online stuff after in theory. If they don't pay on that technicality, I will be complaining and going to the FOS as their email literature says about registering online and how else could I be sure there is no fraud going on, however unlikelyanna42hmr said:
