I couldn't find an option to set up an SO in the app, either. Just online. The app is very bare-bone basic.

Evening, reading some of the previous entries, am I correct in making the assumption that the general consensus is that it is safe to join online banking and the app before the switch is completed?0

Why would you risk not qualifying for the offer, and whats the hurry?DerektheDonkey said:Evening, reading some of the previous entries, am I correct in making the assumption that the general consensus is that it is safe to join online banking and the app before the switch is completed?
Safer and simpler to do as the T&Cs say.1 -

Sure, as otherwise existing customers with existing online banking wouldn't be eligible. We are also expected to switch our main account to the COOP, so it would be highly unreasonable of them to ask us to delay accessing our future main account.
But don't take it from me, ask COOP CS.

If you want to be ultra safe then no, there is no real rush, but someone here (apologies for not checking who) has spoken to customer services and been told its ok to register for online banking.DerektheDonkey said:Evening, reading some of the previous entries, am I correct in making the assumption that the general consensus is that it is safe to join online banking and the app before the switch is completed?3 -
My switch is currently in progress due to complete next week. I’ve tried a couple of times on different days to set up standing orders on the account I’m switching (Nationwide) but keep getting error message saying unable to process. I’m guessing this may be because the switch is underway and hence I can no longer set up new standing orders….is this usually the case when you switch accounts? No real issue anyway as can just set up in Coop account instead.0

I don't think so. I'm also switching a Nationwide account, and yesterday set up two standing orders in the App.tg99 said:My switch is currently in progress due to complete next week. One was to another Nationwide account, the other to FD. Set up as a new payee, then it gives you the option to make it a standing order.1
