As ever I am in awe of you Redo and the way you are managing.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Exactly what watty says. You’re doing really well. I’m sure no one would expect a Christmas card from you this year so well done for doing them anyway. My cousin lost her husband suddenly earlier this year and has signed her card with her name and family which she’s always done anyway.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thank you all. I freely admit that there are still times when I just don't function at all, and I know and accept that this is 'normal' for grief. Waves is the still the best description anyone has given me. Accepting it for what it is helps - it does me anyway.

Yep - normal is that there is no normal isn't it - everyone is different and deals with things in their own way. I've always thought that getting to the stage of being able to remind yourself about that is a key step forwards.
Good plan with the card to have done the "big thing" part first as well - and yes, of course it is a big thing. Mum tends to just write our names on our presents from her now, and not who they're from at all, as she still finds it quite hard to write just "Mum" without "...& Dad" I think. Not surprising - I find it quite hard to see it as well.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hibernation is justified, so long as you wake yourself up if the sun shines and go for a wander out of doors. The first signs of spring will be here in a matter of weeks but in the meantime, be gentle on yourself.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
