Dio you have access to any bank apps in mr redo name? As then you can scan in the cheque easily
Dare u ask the initials of pension 4?DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Love those type of nuts and love chocolate. Sounds the perfect combination, unfortunately chocolate gives me dreadful migraines. However I could buy them for OH and then I could sniff the bag😊.Love 🐞

Thanks everyone - and apologies for corrupting diets and budgets.
Do you know I hadn't thought @ladybird1106, that might be the reason for this mornings migraine!
@LadyWithAPlan as soon as I did the bank notifications they removed all online and App access - Pension is Pen B, and suffolk lass keeps the insect concerned. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

So morning written off with migraine symptoms, luckily no builders. Lots of wood got delivered for the builders. Probably need to get it shifted off the drive actually.
Spending - Farway posted a link to T&M bulb clearance over on Greenfly, and there is a 20% refer a friend code via h0tukdeals, so I bought more bulbs. Whoops. Some hyacinths and narcissus for indoors, at £1 for the bulbs it becomes more cost effective then buying pre-planted ones for me. Tulips and crocus again at £1 per pots worth. P&P is a hefty £7 though so not worth it unless you buy a few. I have plenty of terracotta pots gifted by my parents. It also seemed like fate that as I shortlisted the post arrived, nothing from Pension4 or bike insurance (argh!), but a refund of the last months life insurance premium so I invested that in little things to make me smile.
Food - I made some carrot soup the other day which was very useful for forcing myself to eat today so I could take tablets. I need to portion and freeze some sausages and chicken actually and get something minimal effort and low smell out for later. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

These is an old rhyme that advocates buying hyacinths. You did well with your purchases and all the hope of spring they will bring.
I hope the migraine is soon gone.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Like the hyacinth rhyme Cherryfudge - thanks for sharing.
This afternoon I felt a bit better for eating. Got DS to help me shift the wood to somewhere dry and safer, and the builders to confirm when they will next be here. Tarps on the wood so that the cats don't turn it into expensive scratching post.
B3nnetts responded politely and helpfully - although the time scales they suggest for a cheque are ten days before it is issued. I am losing more in interest than it is worth, so I went and paid the tax refund cheques in at the post office which was nice and simple.
Business bank sent me a log on code but I have to wait for the pack in the post. Some movement at least. The next thing will be that the account is locked for safeguarding as they asked us to complete that a few days before we lost him. I have no online access so I cant do it, stop texting him, etc.
P Bee - nothing, again. Unacceptable, object to being ignored despite chasing twice now. Have sent formal complaint. Fast enough to consolidate your pots but chocolate fireguard when it comes to bereavement support.
Despite all this annoyance no chocolate has been consumed. No alcohol either. I might push the boat out and have a cup of mint tea though. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Quite a few victories there: eating when you didn't want to, rescuing the wood, getting the cheques paid in, complaint made, alcohol and chocolate intact.
I am trying not to start yet another packet of herb tea due to lack of cupboard space so I will celebrate your successes with the last of a box of one called 'Boost' which I really like. There's another in the emergency cupboard but it can stay there for now.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
