Thank you - The 'new to me' car was collected safely, and our two cars left with the garage after a reset of the stored data. Both of mine left here nearly full of diesel, and the new one was typically running on petrol fumes so a painful first spend of £92 to fill her up. It is the smaller version of his car so not too stressful in terms of new things to learn.
This afternoons planned transfer has now moved to tomorrow which frees me to do some more clearing and tidying.

In an episode of Swedish death cleaning the psychologist talks about grief as a heavy backpack, over time it gets lighter, we get used to wearing it but its there. I guess those flashback moments remind us of wearing it.

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
