I do chicken in the IP using the slow cooker function (because I'm too 'chicken' to try the pressure cooker version, as there's a family story of a a pressure cooker 'blowing' and denting the ceiling!). I can vouch for the moist meat we get from it - much better for sandwiches or cold salads than ordinary roast meat, IMO.

I use the IP for a whole chicken but no water...just lemons, herbs, garlic and black pepper and salt.
I like the way you have poached yours and I will be trying that myself. Thanks. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hey you, how are you doing?4

well 'I aten't dead' PIP, thanks for asking.
Just watching all the little birds on the feeders he set up for me, and the Redo Robin has returned.
I need to make myself go and pick up a 21st birthday present from Argos that is needed for the morning, but I at least remembered to go via TCB for the gift card I immediately paid with which gave me an extra £2 in cashback and 3% back. Pays out straight away as well.
Currently experimenting with buying all of the things to see if it makes me feel better. I have established it doesn't work and must remind myself of this when temptation strikes. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Very glad you aten't dead, and have garden and bird loveliness to enjoy, even with its poignancy.
Great TCB work, and hopefully in the midst of your experiment you bought some things that you will love and use.
Good that you've remembered buying doesn't help, but don't feel bad about it, you must be feeling a bit wobbly with Mr Redo's anniversary suddenly in the foreseeable. I feel like it was only just winter and I was pining for summer and now all of a sudden we're in the last month of official summer. I haven't summered yet!

Also very glad to see you Redo, and glad you are hanging out with your feathery pals xx
And I'm also feeling like I haven't summered yet! Today is my first day of an entire month off work - I'm not complaining but the weather has felt quite autumnal 😬6 -
There you are 🙂 Buying stuff won’t make you feel better but doing stuff might. This past few years it’s seemed like August is the start of autumn. Hopefully not the case this year as it’s my birthday month and I’m a summer baby 😎
You are doing amazingly well given the circumstances.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
It certainly feels like May/July was summer & it is now autumn. My solar is in absolutely no doubt5
