I think get a couple.of quotes and then you can see what might be the right thing for your budget xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
Yes definitely get some quotes, see how the land lies. When we had our bathroom refurbished I asked for a separate shower cubicle and a small half bath but got a huge P shaped bath with shower above 😐 Result of me being out at work and Mr SA being the one they asked the opinion of.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I have recently downsized to this bungalow and the bathroom is probably 20 years old. Horrible tiny beige tiles, I think it's a sheet affair. There is a paint by Frenchic you can paint tiles, it's called Al Fresco and suitable for bathrooms. I'm going to try.£216 saved 24 October 20141

I am definitely not the one to ask as I got rid of my bath some years ago as it hadn't been used for about 2 decades then.

Thanks I think that's the sensible option, I don't know what I haven't done it apart from not wanting to part with a single penny of my money 😀 I need to realise that just because I've got quote doesn't mean I have to actually go ahead with it 😀Willowtree222 said:I think get a couple.of quotes and then you can see what might be the right thing for your budget xOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -

If my tiles weren't damaged I would give this a go but some of them need replacing and I can't get the same size anymore. My sister painted her tiles years ago and it was awful. She bought a specialist tile paint but it all peeled off after a few monthsyouth_leader said:I have recently downsized to this bungalow and the bathroom is probably 20 years old. I am so tempted to get rid of my bath but I keep thinking it will effect selling the house as families tend to like a bath for kids. My mum and Dad have a walk in shower which is what I could do with reallybadmemory said:I am definitely not the one to ask as I got rid of my bath some years ago as it hadn't been used for about 2 decades then.

If you are staying then a shower if you are planning on moving out in the next ten years then keep the bath. If you are in an area where a water meter is becoming mandatory then a shower would probably not be as bad as it would be elsewhere. Keeping a bath seems to be a little weird these days. My next door neighbours have got rid of their bath too. They like me have no intentions of moving. They don't have a meter either so it isn't about water use, just about small bathroom & don't use the bath.
