It always amazes and enrages me that no-one at our Cancer centre ever wears a mask (except me), when clearly anyone attending has a weakened immune system!!!What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1

No because they are custom made for my sofa ☹️Sun_Addict said:Oh what a shame about the cushions 🙁 Could you return them?I hope you feel better soon and haven’t picked anything up from the bloke at rehab.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Right it’s definitely the cushions which is sad because I chucked my rock away 😟 I got them out again today and I had to bag them up after about half an hour as I was so wheezy.
Im not going to my rehab tomorrow because I’ve still got a bit of a sore throat, runny nose and headache and I don’t want to pass that on to anyone else in the group. I don’t feel good bad myself maybe a bit achey but that could be Fibro so I’m not sure , I did a test and it’s not Covid so just another virus that’s going around I expect.I did go and get some shopping today because I needed a few things. If I don’t feel too bad I might go to IKEA tomorrow to look at the EKTORP sofa that goes with my chair. It’s slightly cheaper at the moment with the family card and £350 cheaper than the one I saw in DFS 😳
I bought the ingredient’s to make a veggie pasta bake for my tea tonight but was too achey to stand there cooking it so I had a tin of honeyed root vegetable soup which was ok but I had to perk it up with extra honey and a but of salt, twas yummy 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
Shame about the rock, but perhaps you could plan another trip and treat yourself again? It's also not good news about the cushions of course. Would it be worth advertising them somewhere, even though they are custom made? After all, people might want floor cushions, or to perk up a sofa they already have.
£350 less for the sofa would be a real bargain. Don't forget to check if they have any ex-display or returned ones before you pay! (That's if you like it of course). When we got ours, we were told that people often order a new sofa ahead of a house move but if the move falls through, the shop is left with the product and will reduce it to move it on. Ours was ex-display and far out of our usual price bracket but we paid only what we were planning to pay because the shop couldn't sell it as brand new (you know how people sit on the display models). It's as comfy as they come.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’ll be rehoming the cushions with the sofa becasue I got rid of the original ones when I picked these up ☹️Cherryfudge said:Shame about the rock, but perhaps you could plan another trip and treat yourself again? Busy day today as I went to visit my mum and have my hair cut. I had to make sure I had left by 3 because my sister is coming down to visit so I made a hasty escape 😀 I nipped into town on my way home because I needed shower gel which I forgot to buy when I did my shopping.I did my usual log into my bank account to check my bills are on track and there was far too much money in there so I looked through and I’ve had two more payments from ESA which doesn’t make sense. I’m hoping they will send me a letter explaining the extra money because I’m worried now that they are over paying me 😳. I was first paid on a Friday and it’s supposed to be every fortnight but that’s not happened.
DD advertised her sofa on market place because her new one is coming next week but hasn’t had any interest so I put it on two local community groups and someone is now coming to pick it up on Saturday which will be good but she won’t have a sofa until next Thursday 😳 I’ve offered to lend her one of my reclining garden chairs but she said no 😀 she spends most of her time in her office or sitting on her bed anyway so won’t really notice. I’m going over and staying on Friday night so I can help her take it apart ready to be collected.
My sore throat has gone now but I still have a bit of a runny nose, I feel ok in myself so I’m not sure what’s going on. I’m meeting my friend for coffee tomorrow so if it’s a nice day I will walk along the river instead of getting the bus. It has been lovely here for the last couple of days so hopefully it will last for tomorrow.
Theres been a lot of upset on my pulmonary fibrosis WhatsApp group this week as people are trying to get a Covid jab and they are eligible as respiratory illnesses have been removed from the criteria this time, they are blaming their GPs which isn’t fair as they are only following the protocol they have been given and can’t really do much about it. I won’t qualify for one even though I’m on steroids because it’s got to be over 10mgs a day and I’m only on 5 are moment. Some of them are paying for it so they can have it anyway. I’m thinking it can’t be that serious if they have decided to change it now. They aren’t giving it to healthcare professionals either so they just have to take their chances.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -

Yes they’ve really changed the criteria for the Covid jabs this time haven’t they. I was surprised as I expected mine along with the flu jabs this time at weekend. It’s not that drastic for me as I don’t have a bad chest (🤞🤞🤞I’ve tempted fate with that statement 😳🤭) but I was surprised.
Hope you manage to sell the sofa with the new cushions on. .January spends - £587.581 -
Yes they have,it’s causing all sorts of issues not least because some surgeries are offering it to anyone but others are not. My friend was offered hers last week and she is only 70. I’m most upset for the healthcare workers who are coming into contact with it all the time ☹️milann said:Yes they’ve really changed the criteria for the Covid jabs this time haven’t they.
