Sounds like Babs has got a lovely new home, and great that you can pass on the henhouse and coop as well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

I love it that Babs has bossed the cockerel about already! She sounds like she will be happy with her new girlfriends! Good too that her new owner will have the run and kennel and save you having to think of how to get rid of them. 👍Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Yes I feel tired just thinking about it 😀, there’s no danger of Babs flying anywhere she’s too heavy to get off the ground, although she is named after one of the chickens from chicken run so you never know 😀Cherryfudge said:Quite a full week coming up, then!
I'm glad Babs seems to have got off to a good start (I nearly said 'flying', but hopefully not). It's nice you were able to help the lady out with chicken accommodation, and that that helps you as well.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
Hopefully she will be ok 🤞🤞daisy_1571 said:Glad there was a lovely handover to babs' new home, hope you get updates from time to time and she enjoys finding her place in the pecking order 🐔

Thanks it’s very frustrating ☹️debtfreewannabe321 said:Just catching up, yay on the ESA but annoyed for you that it's not the one where you can just be off work without needing sick notes. Also shocked at the dr, he's not very empathetic to you considering he should understand how badly it must be affecting you.
Aw I hope Babs loves her new friends and home. I miss my chickens. I had a really friendly one called Hetty and she was my bestie till she passed.
I also hope the deep clean and new sofa innards will help you 🤞🏻♥️. I have allergies and bought a new to me sofa from the CS last month, I gave it a deep clean with a rug dr machine and it's been fine for me.
Hope you have a good week, it looks like a busy one ☺️.
Hetty is lovely chicken name, I’ve had a few really friendly ones over the years. My first lot of rescue battery hens would all take turns to sit on my lap 🙂Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -

We’ve just had a chicken trying to make its escape running down the road followed by its owner and on the other side of the village the police has just managed to capture an alpaca that has escaped. Hopefully it’s owner will appear soon. Wonder if it’s the chicken owner as well.:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.003

Village life eh 😀 I would love some alpacas but they won’t fit in my garden 😀amber03 said:We’ve just had a chicken trying to make its escape running down the road followed by its owner and on the other side of the village the police has just managed to capture an alpaca that has escaped. I typed out a long post last night and lost it and I was going to retype the update today and do you know I can’t remember anything I did or was updating about 😳it’s a total blank. Yesterday has just disappeared from my memory.
Today I went to my first pulmonary rehab class and it was ok. I managed to get there on the bus and it stops right outside so that was good, I was a bit early so popped into Lidl for a wander round which was fatal as I ended up buying some heathers for my garden, they were only £2.49 each and I’m sure that’s cheaper than the garden centre . The heathers will be going in pots on my patio now that I haven’t got a chicken that will eat them 😀 The rehab class exercises were not taxing at all for me so I think I can push myself quite a bit, we were given an exercise band to keep for the class so I will be using that at home. I think I might be the youngest there, there are 7 of us who are patients and one of the men’s wives came with him for moral support . One of the men that was there was the man I met at the support group so there was someone there that I knew. Next one is on Friday, we do an hour of gentle exercise then an hour of education on different aspect of dealing with the disease. I did feel a bit emotionally wobbly when I forst got there because it seems more real now I’m part of the system that’s treating me but I felt quite positive by the time I left.
My phone rang on the bus on the way home and it was my consultant letting me know that I’m not allowed to do the research project so that would change how I’m cared for . If you are part of the research you are monitored more closely but although I’m an excellent candidate I can’t join because I’m already on steroids and that might affect the results. She also wanted to let me know what my options for treatment are going forwards . Option one is to wait and see what affect removing the feathers and chicken does to my lung function and just wait and see for 6 months then do another lung function test to see if I’ve improved, if I haven’t improved some sort of drug treatment will be started such as steroids, immunosuppressants or anti fibrotic drugs. If I improve then drug treatment can be delayed.
Option two is to start steroids now at 40 mgs then reduce down to a low dose but the risk here is it will put me at risk of infection over the winter which is not good. I would have to go and be checked out at the hospital which also increases my chances of catching an infection so I’ve gone for option one which she said was the right choice. I can stay off high dose steroids over the winter and try to stay away from the hospital during peak infection time. October to Christmas is a time of very high respiratory infections in hospitals so if I can avoid going there I will. I also need to be careful when I’m out and about and on public transport. If I get worse during the six months I can call to be seen earlier. The occy health doctor has also been in contact with her so she is going to copy him into the letter she sends my to my GP so that will be sorted and he will have the info he needs. My prime time to catch an infection is any time in October or November so I’m going to have to be really careful and wear a mask when I’m out.
Tomorrow I’m meeting my sister for breakfast at the pub 😬 I’ve got to get up early though as she wants to meet at 9am 😳 ( she gets up at 4am because she crazy like that ) it’s going to be a busy day, im taking my cushion covers from my sofa to the foam shop first then meeting my sister then I have to go over to DD2s place to be there for a plumber who is coming to mend her toilet ,then I need to go to her Sainsburys because it’s a big one and sells things mine doesn’t, I want some fake bacon lardons for a pasta dish I’m making. I made this dish before but with chicken and I think it will be better with bacon so I’m going to give it a try. Then I can come home and collapse. I’m not sure what’s happening on thursday because the friend I meet is away on holiday and won’t get home until late on Wednesday night so I doubt we are meeting, I have lots of things too at home though so will be busy one way or the other.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945
