I got a decent sleep last night but had dreams all night about going to DFS to buy a sofa 😀😳 for some reason I was taking some nursing colleagues with me 😀.

Guess where I’m going today ………DFS 😀😀 ……. DD2 wants to look at sofas so we are going to go to our  local retail park which has a DFS and more crucially a Costa and a Hobbycraft 😬 I promise I won’t buy anything in Hobbycraft 😇. Of course it’s raining which is always fun but I have a big brolley so will be ok DD refuses to use one as she thinks they are a waste of time but I’m never as soggy as she is 🤷‍♀️ 

I will report back later if we find anything she likes, I’m just hoping I do t see anything I like 😬

Well, if you do see something you like, I say treat yourself.   You deserve it with all that is going on at the moment. I am sure you can sort out the expense!

Hi OBL , sorry to hear of all you have gone through recently,  very unfair that you have to fight for everything when I bet its the last thing you feel like doing . Can you appeal the decision on esa at all ? Can't be right that you would still have to look for work etc when you are unfit for your own job . The system seems to be wrong . Take care xx

I love the sofa from The Swedish Shop. I’m pretty sure it’s the 1 my ds has his eye on for for after his house has been repaired…..which may be some time never as the insurance folk are investigating…….
The occyhealth man sounds awful 😳 What a palaver for you.

I do have the money to buy a new sofa but would rather wait until I know if I’m getting my pension because if they say no I will be using my savings to top up my pension to live on  and I think it’s a shame to get rid of the sofa I’ve got when it still looks as good as the day I bought it and it’s sooooo comfortable, I love my current sofa 😀

I think I can challenge it. I’m going to wait until I have some more info from my consultant then I will get some advice. They will contact me to set my commitments so I can tell them then that I’m not fit for work and they should then make me do a work fitness assessment

I do like it but it’s not as comfy as my current one which is why I would like to keep it. I hope your son’s house is sorted asap,why do these things take so long it’s so disruptive 🙄 . The occy health man is a pain in the bum I do t know why he thinks I would want to retrain for a clerical roll at 62 while living with a terminal illness 😡

We had a successful day today and DD2 found a lovely sofa that she likes. It’s very very comfortable and has a chaise on one end so I will make use of that when I stay over 😀. The sofa is in the Joules range and she has bought it in a burnt orange colour in velvet 😍😍😍 and not a feather in sight. I was surprised at the amount of choice actually we saw so many she couldn’t make her mind up but this one was the only one that came in the perfect colour. I saw one I like too at a very reasonable price so if I do have to replace mine I will probably go for the one I saw today . I’m hoping I won’t need to buy one but it’s nice to know I’ve found one I like if I do have to 🙂
We didn’t go to Hobbycraft in the end because we were in the sofa shop for at least two hours 😳 we went over to Tesco to use the loo and had a look at the clothes then we came home. 

I messaged the lady who is rehoming Babs and she is coming tomorrow 😢I still feel very sad about it because I don’t like to rehome my pets, I had to rehome a cat once and it broke my heart. I know it will be good for her though as she shouldn’t be on her own really so I think she’ll like having a flock to hang out with. I’ll miss her though ☹️

I expect someone who cares enough to rehome a chicken could keep you updated with how she settles in. Not the same, I know, but you would be able to imagine her in her new home and it may help you feel a bit better to see her with the flock or roaming round her new place.

Your DD's sofa sounds gorgeous. I love orange things even though orange looks dreadful on me. Such a warm colour. It's nice that you've got a possible alternative to your current sofa in case it's needed, but getting yours re-filled is a very good idea.

I'm sure Babs will love having feathery friends she will live with but it's hard for you and I'm sorry. 

My friend has an orange velvet sofa - it is lined up against a dark blue wall which has a white dado rail and cornicing. It looks really lovely with this colours.
