I think these exhausted days are what I'm getting at when I say take your worst days into account when applying for PIP. One those days, could you travel or cook or go to work?

The social trips and window shopping sound nice though. :)
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sounds like a lovely week. It’s good that you’re resting when need be 👍

Yes I would be able to and did got to work when I’m exhausted .I still make food even on the days I feel like rubbish and spend the day in bed. I would also have to be dying to not get up and have a shower even if I end up back in bed. This is what I’m trying to say to people who tell me to claim PIP, there isn’t a time when I can’t look after myself. The only time I’ve been like that was if I’ve had a nasty virus which doesn’t qualify me for anything. I might be in pain and exhausted but I’m still able to look after myself, it might mean a ready meal for tea but apart from that I can manage everything

Oh forgot the money confusion that happened this week. I received a letter yesterday telling my my tax code has changed and I’ve gone from paying £2.80 tax on my pension last month to paying £91.80 this month 😳 I was straight on the phone to the tax people who informed me it’s because the DWP have informed them that they paid me ESA. I hadn’t actually checked my bank account before I phoned so took their word for it and hung up before going to check and of course there’s no ESA payment in my account so I’m going to have to phone them back. I was on hold for thirty minutes though so not looking forward to phoning again. I’m going to wait until Monday in case something comes through in the meantime. I thinks it’s quite cheeky of them to deduct tax from my pension if they haven’t already paid me anything

Change of plans today, I didn’t go into town because I couldn’t be bothered. I might go tomorrow if I feel like it

I did my exercises that the physio sent me through the post and a walk on the treadmill but it was hard work in the heat and I was dripping afterwards so had to have another shower 😀 I’m trying to plan it so I get up have breakfast then do my work out then have a shower but I just dont get out of bed early enough, it doesn’t matter if I’m not going anywhere but on days when I’m going out I don’t have time unless I get up earlier. I’m going to bed earlier I just need to make myself get up.

I’ve done two loads of washing but I can’t hang it out because it keeps raining so it’s all on the clothes horses. I’ve put them on the patio so I can grab  them if it rains though.

I got new sick certificate yesterday and it said in the text that I need to book a review with my regular gp so phoned today and she’s not there until the 11th August and they can’t book the appointments that far in advance so I have to phone back on the 28th to book it then , what’s  the betting there won’t be any availability 🙄

I watch quite a few frugal channels on YouTube but today I was watching one where they have no mortgage and no debt and yes they can be frugal if they want to be but they are telling people you can do it if you have to you just need to do XYZ  anyway I just watched a video and their income is £2,257 a month😳 I mean it’s fine if you earn that much and want to be frugal but don’t be telling those of us who don’t that we can do the same as you if we try harder. I’ve never in all my life earned that much money a month even when I was paying my mortgage I was on half of that or less 😳

I totally agree that it’s easier being frugal when you have more cash…..you often have a stock of foods in cupboards and fridges, and something to fall back on in an emergency. It’s a different kettle of fish when there’s no reserves of cash or foods in the cupboards. Frugality isn’t so much fun then.
I’m pleased you will be getting ESA. It made a big difference to me when I got it. Like you people kept telling me to apply for Pip but I wouldn’t because I knew I wouldn’t meet the criteria. I do wonder how some people I know get it and others I would expect to qualify don’t.
I hope you get the handbag you want.
