I think you need to check on the benefits part of the forum, savings should not have a bearing on contribution based ESA - if you get your pension then that does but I can't remember if you do. I also think you need proper advice on PIP and quick. The job centre people are not advisors and I'm concerned that one apparently told you not to bother applying...2

Hooray to the freshly painted handrail 👏👏 little and often makes a difference to the jobs 👍January spends - £587.582

PIP advisors will want to delay and delay and delay, in the hope that the new Welfare Bill will get passed and new applicants won't get the same rate as existing folkWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1

Went to visit my mum today and it was very hot. Mum is still very tired so I didn’t stay too long, she makes it clear when she’s ready for you to leave 😀
I did my shopping but had to wait ages for a bus home, I took my freezer bag with me so luckily the food was still frozen when I got home. I forgot to buy an onion though so can’t make my curry tomorrow , will make the gnocchi bake though, I also couldn’t get any leeks for the other thing I wanted to make so that will have to wait too. I really wanted an ice cream this afernoon but I didnt buy any because they would have melted on the way home, I normally buy some when I meet my friend on Thursday because she drops me home 😀
I had a load of washing to bring in when I got home so I got that in, ironed and put away when I got home, it had cooled down a bit after tea so I thought I had better get it done
I’m at home all day tomorrow so will see what the weather is like and then plan my day. I want to wash the covers on my armchair so if it’s hot again I will do that. If it’s as hot as it was today I will be sitting in my deckchair reading all day 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204 -
Had my phone appointment with the phsyioterrorist today and I was mainly to ask about my symptoms and to give me some advice about managing the cough. I did get some good advice but quite a lot of it was stuff I already do such as nose breathing and breathing out through pursed lips, she did say to make sure I relax my shoulders as well and I must say this is something I find really difficult. My shoulders are usually up around my ears most of the time and I have to make a real effort to relax them, I’m not sure if it’s because of being in pain a lot or just habit but I need to pay attention. I asked about lung function tests and she said they are booked for the 1st of August 😳so another 4 weeks to wait. I did say to her that I’m kind of in limbo not knowing how bad this is and what my future is going to be like but of course she is just a cog in the wheel so can’t do anything about it. I won’t see the consultant until late August if I’m lucky so my Rheumatologist saying the end of May beginning of June was not true at all😡she is going to send me all the info that she told me about today so that’s good and she also mentioned that she does the pulmonary rehab but the next course doesn’t start until September.
I was at home all day today so cleared out and cleaned one of my kitchen cupboards. I’m going to try and do one a day as doing that one nearly killed me 😀 it’s weird because some jobs are quite easy like sweeping the floors but washing a cupboard mad me really breathless 🤷♀️
The physio also said it’s important to try and keep fit so not to avoid exercise which I have done for the last couple of weeks. I’ve been so tired I just couldn’t face it but today I did a twenty minute walk on my treadmill and my sats only dropped to 89 a couple of times and they did recover to 92 quite quickly so that’s good. I was more worn out moving the treadmill so I could use it than I was doing the actual work out😀I really need to get my little bedroom sorted again so I can put it up there then it can stay out all the time. I’m also going to spend some time tomorrow sorting out you tube on my tv so I can do some gentle workout videos. I have Yes To Next videos that I’m subscribed to on YouTube but I don’t like using my iPad to do the videos as it’s just not big enough so I will set it up on my tv then I can do them as well
I made my gnocchi bake today so had that for my tea and put the other three in the freezer. I’m going to buy an onion tomorrow so I can make the curry I was going to make today and I’m hoping they will also have some leeks so I can make a croustade probably on Friday. I’ve got a mushroom and garlic Quorn escalope with naughty cheesy coleslaw and beetroot salad tomorrow and I have a baking potato to use up so that’s thirteen meals I have lined up. I’ve also got some Quorn sausages to use up but I don’t actually like them. I don’t want to waste them though so will eat them, I’m might try frying them instead of cooking them in the oven tossed if that makes a difference, hotdogs sounds like a nice idea 😍😍Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204 -
Habitual tension is a tricky one, isn't it? My shoulders are okay but I carry tension in my jaw and it still comes back from time to time.
Well done for getting on the treadmill!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I have sausages in my freezer that we don't like very much, but I have found that squeezing the sausage out of the skins in little sections and treating them as meat (or non meat) balls, browning then finishing off in a tomato sauce with pasta has made them much more appetising3
