So sorry you are not feeling too good OBL and no wonder , you have got such a lot going on , If you need a rest day or 2 then take them . I hope you get your appointment through soon then I am certain they will at least give you something for your breathing . Also hope the work thing is settled soon , I get that they have to follow a process but these meetings will sap your energy also . I would do the bare minimum until you feel better but I know you like to be busy , take care x

I'm so sorry. Being in limbo.like this is horrendous for you physically and mentally. Its awful that you're waiting for you appointment still.

Could you phone your GP and request they support urgently? I know they might not be able to, but just trying to see if there is anything you can do.

    Thinking of you.

Could you also possibly read? Its low key and then you can say you have achieved something that day. If I'm having a bad day, then I do something like that.

My GP is rubbish so I’ve given up with them. I’m plowing through my books at the moment, there’s never a time when I can’t read 😀

Aww it’s so so hard the limbo stage, once you ‘know’ then you can make plans - I agree nudging the surgery as you’re struggling, ask them to let the hospital know you’re deteriorating mentally and physically
My surgery aren’t really involved because they didn’t refer me in the first place, they have been useless

Hey everyone and thanks for your advice . I contacted my rheumatologist because he is co ordinating the appointment with the respiratory team and he’s said that they are still waiting to review my latest CT scan in the MDT meeting and that in the meantime I have to have yet more blood tests 🙄these are being done next Wednesday so no doubt we will have to wait for the result of that as well. I did get my bowel screening test back and it was normal so that’s good news 🍾🥳🍾

I had my work meeting and managed to use teams without any problems and that was useful . The lady from HR explained everything to me and she did warn me that if occy health state that I’m not fit for work the trust will go ahead and terminate my contract even if I haven’t heard back from the pensions people about ill health retirement which is all I wanted to happen in the first place so that’s good. I can’t leave my job voluntarily because I wouldn’t  get any benefits for 6 months so this way I should get something, it won’t be the full amount because I have too much in my savings. I need to use £3000 to be below the level where my savings aren’t taken into account but I suspect I’m going have to top up my monthly income anyway so that will go down. I have the paperwork from the pensions people so I just need to fill it out then take it to work for my boss to fill out her bit then she’s going send it to occy health.

The HR lady told my boss to refer me to occy health again now because they are busy so I might have to wait for an appointment and hopefully my hospital appointment will come through first then if it doesn’t I can just contact occy health and re arrange that appointment for later. So I’ve been able to plan somethings despite not having my appointment.

This week I’ve not been feeling great so I’ve kept my activity levels to a minimum. I didn’t go to my mums on Tuesday because I was too tired and didn’t feel good. I took advantage of the hot weather on Wednesday to wash the settee cushion covers and they were dry but the end of the day. I met my friend for coffee yesterday then came home and sat in the garden to read my book and today I haven’t done anything. I’m very achey today so I’m just chilling out watching YouTube and reading. I was supposed to be going over to DD2s tonight to look after her cat while she stayed at her friends overnight but I don’t need to go now which I’m quite relieved about as I like sleeping in my own bed and I can also sit out in the garden until it gets dark if I want to. That hasnt  been happening lately because I’m normally in bed by 8.30pm due to being tired.

DD2 is on holiday next week so we are planning on trying to go for some walks if I feel up to it. There’s a nice farm shop that has opened near to where she lives so we can get the bus there and maybe walk back if we take our time.

I have been wondering how you are getting on in these high temperatures, @OBL, & hoping that the very hot temperatures aren't affecting your breathing & tiredness levels too much.
I am also hoping to do some sitting out in our garden after dark, something I don't do on weekdays because I aim to be in bed by 9.30pm. Last night, while I was just going up to bed, I looked out of the window & saw our hedgehog beadling around the courtyard. I'd love to see him close up & maybe give him some cat meat. No point putting any out just in case, as Soot would hoover it up in an instant, even if he was pretending he wasn't bothered or hadn't seen it.

Hi Foxgloves, I’m not too bad with the temps as they have been but think I might struggle if it were to get hotter. I’ve noticed my chest feels irritated but that feels more like a pollen type thing.

Hedgehogs are the one thing I don’t see in my garden I’ve got foxes,  badgers, the odd pheasant, lots of birds ,the odd Tawny owl and bats but no hedge hogs 😀 there might be some here but I haven’t been lucky enough to see them

Omg today has been painful 😩😩I woke up at 5.30 with awful toothache, I’ve got a tooth on the left near the back that a filling came out of taking quite a lot of the tooth with it. I don’t have a dentist at the moment so I haven’t been able to get it looked at. I’ve been trying to find a dentist since it happened with no luck , anyway it’s actually been ok until today and I’ve been in agony. I called 111 and they referred me to the emergency dental access  clinic and I’ve got an appointment tomorrow at 9am. In the meantime I had to go into town to get some stronger painkillers so I bought Ibuprofen lysine tablets which are 342mgs each and you can take two. I took these, codeine and paracetamol and its just about kept it at bay. I’m just sitting here now waiting to take my next dose at 12.30. It’s so bad that it’s gone into my ear and down my neck and bizarrely my bottom teeth on that side are also hurting even though there’s nothing wrong with them 😩😩. My teeth are something I never have problems with and I don’t get toothache I’ve only had two fillings ever when I was about 7 and a tooth out that I broke . I hope they can sort it out tomorrow 🤞🤞

I did notice while I was walking around town that it didn’t hurt as much then when I sat on the bus it started throbbing so I decided to keep myself busy when I got home. I went out in the garden and worked like a mad thing to try and distract myself it worked a bit but I could tell when the painkillers were wearing off. I did however start a project I’ve been trying to do for ages which is to build a dead hedge at the top of the garden where it’s wild. I’ve built it up quite well but need to sort out some taller canes to hold the sides up , I think I’ve got some in the shed so will carry on with it later in the week. I have loads of old branches I’ve cut off my trees so should be able to make it quite big then lots of critters can move in 😀

Honey is a natural antibiotic - it might help. I used to rinse my mouth three times with half and half water and hydrogen peroxide to kill the germs. Swish it around in between rinse and spit it out if you use it. That is also what my friend did when she got a toothache while we were over visiting  in England.

That sounds like absolute agony - I had a tooth die while on holiday and it was truly horrible. I hope the appointment can sort it out straight away.
