You have reminded me I bought sausage meat at Christmas and it was sadly lacking in taste so there's still some in the freezer needing to be used. All of a sudden I can see that combining it with a rich tomato sauce, perhaps in the slow cooker, could be really nice. Now all I've got to do is brave the depths of the freezer to find the pack, which reminds me I have mushrooms to use up too and they would go very well.

Massage the base of your thumb using your other thumb (in order to relax your jaw). If your thumb base/s are tender then you need to massage it/them
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

So I’m not getting any universal credit this month because I have too much in my savings apparently when added to my pension. So I was entitled to £664 but because of my savings and pension they deducted £795 which means no money to be paid this month☹️ next month I will be using my savings to top up my pension and this will keep me going until I hopefully get my second pension if they let me have it 🤞 I tried to fill out the paper work for that today but it asks for my consultants name and I haven’t seen him yet so there’s  point in filling that out until I’ve had my appointment otherwise they will just send it back.
I also went on the Gov site and filled out some questions to see if I would get pip and it said I’m not eligible because I can do the things they asked me unaided, I don’t use any aids to walk or get about or wash or eat I can dress myself and cook for myself

Oops I pressed the button before I was finished 😀
In non money news I met my friend for coffee today and we had a nice time. We have arranged to meet up with some of the other ladies we worked with next Friday so that will be fun. I then came home and did my one outside job of the day which was to scrub the gas meter box because it had gone green 😳 it looks much better now. I was going to attach my key safe to it but the holes in the back of the key safe are too small for a hook. I wanted to put it there because it’s out of the rain and it’s at the front so I don’t have to go round to the back if I get locked out and it’s dark so I will have to rethink.

The annual craft fair on the cathedral green started today for three days and it’s a big one so I’m going to go to that tomorrow. I have birthday money left so if I see something I like I might buy it, there is usually a plant nursery there so I will see what they have for sure. I’ve downloaded the Greggs app so will see if there’s anything on there I can have for lunch then I can sit on the green and eat it there, the coffee is surprisingly nice and it’s a lot cheaper then the places I normally got to 😀 when I’m out with either DD we try to find an independent coffee shop but I am a sucker for a Costa and have also fallen in love with Muffin Break who have the most amazing banana milkshake and cranberry toasted tea cakes😍😍

I’m planning on doing some bits in the back garden tomorrow when I get back and I also need to make my curry, I got the ingredients for the leek croustade today as well but will probably have to make that over the weekend

If you have a Citizen's Advice it might be worth making an appointment and getting someone to fill in the Pip form for you. It is not as straightforward as you might think. It is not just about being able to do these things, but about how it affects you and how difficult it is, eg if having a shower and getting dressed leaves you exhausted at times then it prevents from you doing other things you might want to do. It is worth applying anyway, they can only say no. It is a shame that you have to use up your savings just to pay your bills and live from day to day so it is worth a go.

That's a thought @Moneywhizz: they say to fill the PIP application bearing in mind your worst day and I know you've had days where you just had to stay in bed.

@satchmo1, that's extraordinary and it works! I don't know how and it's subtle but effective. Thanks :)

I have no idea how it works either. I actually heard the tip on the radio about 30 years ago! It's subtle enough that you can use it anywhere without it being in the slightest bit conspicuous.

Satchmo…..you beat me to it. My Dd is a great believer in using  pressure points and the lymphatic system to its advantage. So much so she’s taken training and made it her career. I’ve got to admit I was very sceptical at first but it does make a difference. I’d like to know more about the  techniques which you can use yourself on the lymphatic system. I need to do some research…or move closer to my Dd where she can teach me 😂

Phew I’ve had a busy week . I went to the craft fair last weekend but only bought a little China cat hanging decoration that was in the seconds bin, I bought it for DD2 and it says a spoilt cat lives here 😀 she loved it.
Met DD 2 on the Sunday for a coffee and a trip to the library so she could pick up a book she had ordered.
Monday I went shopping and pottered round at home
Tuesday I felt awful so so slept nearly all day
Wednesday I pottered round at home but didn’t do much because it was too hot, I did some washing done
Thursday I met my friend for coffee then came home and pottered about
Friday I met the girls from work for a catch up which was nice, then we went our separate ways and I went and had a look round Hobbycraft but I didn’t buy anything. I also had a look in B&M but didn’t buy anything in there either
Saturday was DGs2s birthday so I went to his house for a birthday barbecue which was lovely but it was sooooooo hot . I’m very relieved to have found a sun cream that doesn’t irritate me ,it’s the Piz Buin one for sun sensitive skin and so far so good 🤞🤞
Today hasn’t been good at all because I’ve just been so tired I haven’t felt like doing anything. I feel alseep on the settee for an hour and Im now back in bed.

I can’t remember what days I cooked on but I’ve made a curry, a gnocchi bake and a leek croustade so I have ten main meals frozen and I’m going to add a Homity pie to that possibly tomorrow so that will be fourteen meals plus I’ve got sausages for hotdogs and a couple of southern fried burgers too so minimal food cooking for the next fortnight.

I’ve got to go and pick up a prescription tomorrow so will get the ingredients to make the Homity pie and I need some more fruit, I bought some lovely nectarines from M&S on Thursday.

Ive done my banking and split my bills into the direct debits that need to stay in the bank and im using cash for my food shopping and personal spends because I find it easier to keep track of, if I use my card I lose track of what I’ve spent too easily
