Yes I’m normally book first the film to see what’s been done . There’s a lot of books I’ve read though that I wouldn’t go to see as a film mainly because I would find it too upsetting. I loved The Book Thief and ALL The Light We Cannot See in book form but wouldn’t be able to watch the film due to the subject matter.

I watched the Salt Path today as I have read all three of Raynor Winns books and regularly walk the South West Coast Path.  I enjoyed the film but there were some inconsistencies and they left out a lot of what was in the book. The scenery was spectacular though and I thought Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs were brilliant. I still prefer the book though.

I agree the film is beautiful but they did leave a lot out , I’m now going to read the book again because I’m paranoid I’ve imagined half of it 😀

I went to my meeting with my work coach today at the job centre to talk about my capability for work and he said this is going to be the shortest work capability interview I’ve ever done because it’s quite clear you are too sick to work 😂 I was expecting to be asked lots of questions but he didn’t ask me anything, he did say there would possibly be another interview down the line where they will want to know more info but hes put me down as not having to do any work commitments ,the only commitment I have to do is to have a phone call for an update in a months time. I was only there for ten minutes 🙂

I popped into town on my way home ( the job centre is in town ) I needed some peanuts for the squirrels and while I was there I bought a loaf of bread for the freezer and another carton of long life milk for stores so I won’t have to get any food shopping over the weekend.

I came home and pottered  about for a bit indoors then went out and filled all the bird feeders, squirrel feeder and sorted the chicken out, she needed fresh water and all her food topped up so she will be ok for a few days now.

I’m off to bed in a bit because I’m knackered. Tomorrow I’m meeting my friend for coffee then if it’s not raining when I get back I’m going to attempt to cut the grass on the front garden. It’s not a big area of grass so only takes about ten minutes to cut so should be ok. I reckon it’s going to rain though 😀

Oops nearly forgot to say I took all my stuff to the charity shop yesterday so it’s all gone 🍾🥳🍾 I am going to put the shelf back in my wardrobe when I’ve finished painting it then I’m going to store my winter stuff on there in a plastic box so that the rail isn’t too packed together. All my winter clothes are currently in the wash waiting for some nice weather so they can be washed before I put them away, I know it won’t be long before I’m getting them out again but I’m determined not to clutter up my wardrobe.

It's good your work meeting wasn't long and strenuous - I'm surprised they ask people to come in person while they are signed off work by a doctor, but there you go. Going to that and taking all your donations to the charity shop is plenty to be getting on with. I hope you are enjoying the extra space!

Are you still affected by bird flu restrictions? I noticed the chickens round here are being allowed to roam again so I'm hoping it's abated.

That the DWP for you 😀 they don’t care if you are off sick. I’ve heard of them making people go in who are just out of hospital post surgery and if you don’t go they stop your money.

We weren’t under the restrictions down here luckily 🙂

Well I was woken up at 4am by lots and lots of rain which carried on until around 4pm so my grass didn’t get cut today.

I did meet my friend for coffee though which was nice and as we were leaving we bumped into someone decided to work with in our early days at the hospital, I haven’t seen her for around 20 years so it was lovely to have a chat , she  was 18 when we all started working there and I was 37/38 😳so a long time ago and we used to have a right laugh on our breaks. It’s not like that now working for the NHS it’s just a grind now and god forbid you try to have some fun while you’re working ☹️ we used to do our jobs really well but with humour and that’s missing now ☹️

I don’t do much when I got home because I was too tired. I just sorted the chicken out and let her out in the garden for a bit then I read for a bit and that was the day over. I’m in bed now so will no doubt fall asleep soon.

Im at home tomorrow and hoping the weather will be better but I think we are forecast rain and thunderstorms which will be annoying. I have washing to do but I don’t want to do it until I’m can dry it outside, it just doesn’t dry quick enough without the heating on and there’s no way I’m putting my heating on.
