I know I’m wondering if a complaint needs to be made to be honest but the trouble with working for the NHS is I don’t like to complain about it 😀
Yes you're right I forget that I have days where I sleep all day, I’ve been doing that for so long it’s just normal for meOnebrokelady said:
Thanks I would like to talk to someone who knows the ins and outs. I think I’m having trouble thinking of myself as someone who might need these things.
I really think we are all somehow 'needy' or whatever you like to call it. As I saw quoted from a person with a visible disability, 'We are all disabled, just with some of us, it shows'.
But yes, it can be tricky swapping places and becoming the one on the receiving end.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I have now moved back into my bedroom 🍾🥳🍾 it’s looks so nice in there now and I’m so glad it’s finally finished, that had to be the longest decorating job ever 😀 I got my bed putback together and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be but I did have to keep stopping to get my breath back and wait for my heart rate to slow down. My heart rate goes up quite quickly when I’m getting out of breath and this is the reason they give you oxygen because it supports the bodies organs which are essentially being starved of oxygen. I do recover quite quickly but I have to stop for a few minutes which makes everything take much longer. I don’t mind I just have to get used to a slightly slower pace. I’ve always been someone who rushes around and does everything fast and now I have had to learn th@t I can’t do that. I would like to put a photo of my room on here but I’m not sure about privacy and being recognised
I went to see my mum today and dropped off some bits she wanted but I didn’t stay very long because she wanted to go and lay on the settee to go to sleep. She is complaining that she’s tired and today got me to buy her an iron supplement which i expect my sister has told her to buy. I can’t explain to her that at 92 she is not going to be running around like a spring chicken and that she doesn’t need iron 🙄she is depressed because she is on her own,she doesn’t have the focus of looking after dad anymore so has no purpose and lack of purpose is very bad for you. I can’t help her though, anything I suggest is ignored, she keeps telling me she doesn’t think she will be here for much longer and I’m afraid she won’t because she has given up☹️
Tomorrow I’m meeting DD2 for lunch and then going to stay at hers overnight. We were meant to be going to the cinema to see The Salt Path for my birthday but it’s sold out at our big cinema with the lovely reclining seats so we are going next weekend instead. We could have gone to our lovely independent cinema that I also love because it’s got a bar 😀but I can’t sit in the seats without being in considerable pain so the reclining seats have won 😀
I’m staying over so we can watch some more of Black Mirror and she is also harness training the cat so wants me there as back up in case she escapes , I’m not sure what she expects me to do seeing as I can’t move faster than a tortoise 😀 it will be interesting to say the least. DDs cat is an indoor cat but she’s showing signs of wanting to go out which is no good in a top floor flat next to one of the main roads into our city so I suggested taking her out on a harness as a compromise. There is a meadow across the way from the flat so she could go for walks around there quite easily and there’s no traffic to avoid then.

That must be hard to witness in your Mum. Perhaps the iron tablets will buck her up if she thinks they are 'curing' her? She has been through a major change, though, and it would be surprising if she didn't have a reaction. And as you say, at 92, things are going to tire her more.
The bedroom sounds lovely. I would love to do ours up but there are just too many things on the list ahead of it. Still, I could give it some thought, and perhaps that will give me something to aim for. Sleep well tonight!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I had to make my bedroom a priority because it was mouldy in places which isn’t helping my chest, it’s all been treated now and hasn’t come back yet so hopefully it will stay that wayOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204 -

God where did that week go. I can’t believe it’s Thursday again tomorrow 😳
I met DD2 on Saturday for lunch and then went and stayed at her place overnight. We took the cat out on her harness and she loved it, I thought she would freak out but she was so busy exploring she didn’t really notice the harness. DD came into town with me on my home on Sunday because she had some trousers to pick up that she had ordered, they said they would be delivered on Sunday but she still hadn’t had a notification but the time we got into town so we wondered around for a bit then had a coffee while we waited for the email to come through. I ended up buying a nice little top in Next which I will pay for out of my birthday money.I spent the day at home on Monday because I didn’t feel too good. I did do a bit of wedding in the back garden in the afternoon but I want really up for much activity.
Yesterday I visited my Mum for an hour I didn’t say too long be she kept falling asleep and wanted to go and lay down on the settee to rest. My sister is coming down on Friday and has been asking if I’ve sent the LPA paperwork back yet so I reminded mum that I have given her a copy of the paperwork to give to Angela, I think she had forgotten I gave it to her so I don’t know if she will remember to pass it on when she comes down. I think I will text her on Friday to remind her.Today I met my sister for breakfast and a catch up which was nice. She is going to ask her husband if he can come and mend my fence instead of me getting someone in to do it so that will be good.
Tomorrow I’m meeting my friend for coffee and I’m hoping the weather will cheer up so I can do some bits in the garden. It’s keeps reading today so I haven’t go out there.Friday I have an interview at the job center to prove my identity so I’ve got got be there at 9.20 am for a half hour interview. I’m thinking if I feel up to it I might get the bus from town to my local garden centre as it goes from the bus station which is across the road from the job center. I haven’t had a look round for ages.I might be meeting DD1 on Saturday for a coffee in town so I can give her her birthday cards, she has had her proper present but she had money left in her budget so I will put that in her card, she’s always buying books so she can use it for that if she wants.
I got mainly money for my birthday and a couple of books and some lovely Peonies. The girls asked me what I would like so I said either book vouchers or money because I can then treat myself as I see things I like and seeing as I’m on a strict budget now I won’t be buying myself many treats 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206 -
You have been busy out & about, @Onebrokelady, which is good to hear. Weeding doesn't sound very physical, but it is. I find that even if I'm on my kneeler supposedly concentrating on just weeding a defined area well, I tend to be digging out deep roots & stretching way too far to grab out of reach weeds. Books, money & flowers are lovely presents.

I love it that you took the cat out for a walk on the harness!😻 it's great that it was fine about it!
I love peonies! I always think it's a good idea to have vouchers and money as presents rather than getting something you won't use - that's what I asked for when folk asked me what I wanted for my big birthday that was recently. As Ive been losing quite a bit of weight I need new clothes so the cash and M&S vouchers come in really handy! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
