I think a second account for bills would be useful, as then you know all the money in your spending account is yours!
Me too. I was thinking I would leave my main current account as it is as that's where my wages/ pension are paid in then open a second account transfer my  spending money into. I also have accounts for my emergency fund and Christmas/ birthday savings
This is what I have a Chase account for. I put grocery and fuel money into the main Chase account and also put some into the savings account
Do you have to put a minimum amount in each month
    Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,120

No you can put in whatever you want whenever you want.
it’s really helping me to budget
Also if I spend it rounds up to the next pound and puts the round up money into a 5% round up account

I thought of you today when I saw a woman pushing her elderly dog in a dog pushchair - maybe you should get one for B, you could take her to the beach then. My dog would love being pushed around in a pushchair 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Another slow day here mainly reading. I phoned work to say I will be back tomorrow then this afternoon I got the most awful tummy cramps for a couple of hours. I thought I was going  to have to phone back and say I wouldn't be there after all. It's gone now but I feel a bit queasy. I've just had toast to eat because I don't want anything else. Hopefully I will be ok in the morning 🤞🤞Im on an early so need to get up at 5.15 which is going to be a shock to the system 😀

I was going to do some bits in the garden today but felt too tired so didn't manage it. I also had a phone call from DD2 to say her washing machine has packed up so can I be there at her place when the engineer calls. So that's one of my days off taken care of. I've told her it will have to be Tuesday early morning or I'm off on Friday if she can wait that long. I'm going to see my mum and dad on Tuesday and I can't cancel again or that will be three weeks without visiting. I can go to see them on the way back from her place then go and do my shopping after . I'm off on Thursday too but I have plans to meet my friend for coffee because haven't seen her for two weeks either. I was helping DD1 to paint the first week then this week I was ill so couldn't go. It's just typical because DD2 has been off all week and it breaks the night before she goes back to work 😡

  • It always happens that way. Usually for me the day after school hols do it's a minimum of 6 weeks before I can do anything.

Hope the cramps settle. Could it be nerves without you realising?

I hope things settle. My husband has had dodgy insides for a few days and has just tested positive for Covid. He mentioned that apparently respiratory illness can also affect the guts, but you'd know more about that than we do, via your work. It sounds nasty, whatever it was.

And I hope all the social arrangements work out this time around.

Definitely not nerves. I was really looking forward to going back after being stuck at home all week 😀
