I’m still alive 😀 but not feeling great today. I seem to have a good day followed by a bad day which is very annoying. My friend came over yesterday with some shopping and she bought me the most tasty plums I have ever eaten from M&S, you can tell she doesn’t worry about the cost of things because they are the really nice ones that you only get four of in a fancy tray instead of the ones I get in a plastic punnet 😂 but they are amazingly tasty, I’m limiting myself to one a day because they are quite big and I don’t want them to run out.I’m just trying to decide if I should stay up and let the chicken out or go back to bed. I don’t really want to spend the day in bed though, I’ve got to go out and feed her and give her some water anyway and it’s a shame for her to be locked up on a nice day.I phoned and got a sick note until the 7th of April yesterday so because of my days off I won’t be due back to work until the 9th I’m hoping to see some improvement by then 🤞🤞
I also ordered myself a smaller rectangular cross stitch frame yesterday because I have one I’ve been trying to do but the frame it’s on is too big which puts me off doing it. I hope that will arrive soon then I can at least so some cross stitch while I’m sitting here.I am making myself get up and walk around the house every hour or so and I do have some gentle exercises I’m doing so I don’t get weak. I can do some arm exercises without too much strain and some very gently leg ones too while I’m waiting for the kettle to boil for instance
I’m also waiting for my book that I ordered to arrive,apparently it’s on its way 🥳🥳Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205 -
I love plums, apart from the thick-skinned ones. Enjoy yours!
Good to hear you are alive and moving about. And able to see to the chicken too. I assume from this that you aren't in a bird flu zone? We saw some chickens and ducks confined to a fairly small pen last week as the area is restricted. However, there were some small song birds popping in to visit them, so I'm not sure they were effectively quarantined!
I wonder if your good days are followed by bad days due to you feeling better and doing more? It must be so exasperating to be stuck in bed so I hope your orders come soon and give you something nice to do. Let us know if the book turns out to be worth reading!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’m not in a bird flu zone here, originally locked her in thinking the lockdown was nation wide so the poor thing spent a couple of weeks locked in with out needing to be. My run is like Fort Knox nothing can get in apart from insects and spiders 😀it also has a waterproof roof.
Tho book is really enjoyable so far, I was I two mined bout buying it but I’m glad I did now.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204 -
Today has been a good day at last. I think I might be turning a corner 🤞🤞 I got up without having a mad coughing fit for ten minutes so that was a bonus. I also had a shower and got dressed without getting as breathless as I have been and tonight I got in bed and checked my sats and they went up to 96 for a couple seconds ( I actually cheered 😂) they’re still dropping to 85 when I’m walking upstairs, showering or getting in bed but they are recovering a lot faster and I feel like I can take a deeper breath today so that’s all good.
Tomorrow both DDS are popping round at some point so it will be nice to see them. DD1 said she will be round late morning because my youngest DGS wants to take her out to a bookshop/ cafe for Mother’s Day🙂 he’s only 6 but he knows what she likes.
Im hoping if my recovery carries on I will be able to pop out to the shops on Monday for some bits of shopping. I can get the bus to my local shopping precinct which is flat and the bus stops outside. I don’t need a lot so I won’t have lots to carry but I’ll take my trolly with me the most urgent thing will be washing up liquid and paracetamol I think.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205 -
Good to hear you sounding better. Also nice to hear the bird flu isn't in your area and your chicken can enjoy some freedom!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That's sounding more like it, OBL x2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (24/100)

Sunday was a good day 🙂I was still quite breathless but not feeling ill. Both DDs came round and I now have a new pile of books to read from Mother’s Day. I wasn’t going to go anywhere on Mother’s days but DD2 talked me into going for a coffee with her and a mooch round Waterstones. We got a taxi into town so I did t have to walk too far. I bought myself a couple more books and used my £10 of points I had on my reward card. I did have to use the lift to get up to the cafe though as the stairs would be too much.I caught the bus home though because it is all on the flat so I thought I would be ok to walk along my road but I really struggled and it was painfully slow, I got home in one piece though
Monday wasn’t so good I didn’t feel good all day so didn’t do a lot at all
Tuesday was better and I managed to change my bedding and do a bit housework ( only sweeping the floors and wiping round the bathroom ) I didn’t feel too good in the night though so decided to phone the surgery this morning to see if I could get an appointment today which I was able to do.I saw a very efficient ACP who was very thorough. She made me walk laps round the room so she could see what my sats would do and they did drop down but recovered quite fast so that was an improvement. I told her I just wanted to make sure the infection was gone, she listened to my chest and it sounded clear so good news.
She has booked me an appointment for an ECG and some bloods because I have been getting lots of palpitations so she wanted to check theres no cardiac issue or blood clots so I’m having that done tomorrow afternoon then I have to book a follow up with a gp and she told me not to go back to work unless I’m feeling 100% able to copeI’m going out for coffee tomorrow with my friend, she has offered to come and pick me up so I don’t have to walk to the bus stop and she drops me home any way so that’s not a problem. I’m looking forward to going out somewhere instead of being stuck at home. The weather was lovely here today so it was nice to get outside even if it was just to go to the surgery 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204 -
