Easter weekend was spent doing little bursts of decorating in my bedroom,it’s coming along very slowly but it’s getting done so that’s the main thing. DD2 came over on Sunday so we could get a load of stuff out the loft.
I went in the loft and passed things down to her so I didn’t have to move around much, we got rid of several boxes of things which turned out to be mainly old school work from both DDs. All of DD2s stuff has gone in the recycling and DD1 is coming round after work today to look at her bits but I suspect it will go in the bin. There is also a pile of jigsaws that belong to DD1 that I want gone so she is coming to look at them as well and if she doesn’t want them they will go to the charity shop. I have a big shelf in the top of my built in wardrobe which was full of books and they are all going to the charity shop. I’ve found a local charity shop that collects donations so after DD 1 has had a look I will contact them to come and collect it all. There’s still some stuff up there because we ran out of time but we made a big dent in it, I reckon one more day sorting it out and it will be done ready to be insulated
I also cleared out the cupboard under my stairs today and got rid of anything that wasn’t needed and now there is room for my shopping trolley to live in there instead of being in my wardrobe. I found loads of charity bags so can use them to bag all the bits from the loft up in.I have got a few things to go on the free groups and so far I’ve got rid of a guitar that DD 2 didn’t want anymore , there’s a bookcase to go a chest of drawers and a travel cot, there’s also a single pine bed up in the loft in pieces but we left that for next time because I didn’t want it all cluttering up my house. I’m going to ask DD1 take me to the tip with any last bits of rubbish I find. I’ve cut the carpet down that was in my bedroom and the bit from the middle of the room which is in really good condition is going in my little box room so it won’t be wasted completely . There’s some pieces that need to go but they can go to the tip.
I’m currently sleeping in DD2s old room while my bedroom is being sorted so there is a sequence to how things can happen. I need to finish my bedroom so I can move back in then the dressing table that’s in the box room can go in the room I’m now using then I can lay the carpet in the box room and put my walking pad in there to use as a mini workout room, there’s room for floor exercises too so that will be perfect for me. I can put my iPad in the window and watch videos while I’m walking or I can use an app that work with the pad to do walks with an online group.
Once that’s all done I will be painting my kitchen to spruce it up. The bathroom is being looked at by my central heating and plumbing guys because I need a new sink then im going to hire someone to tile round the bath/shower which will just leave painting the other walls and laying the floor which I can do myself.
DD2 wants me to either sell my house and move in with her in her flat or buy a two bedroom house together so I’m not on my own. This has implications for both DDs inheritance so would have to be looked into carefully and at the moment I’m happy where I am. I know I can’t stay here because there’s too many steps but I don’t think I’m at the stage yet where I can’t manage them so I’m not rushing to any decisionsOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1207 -
You do need a bit of time to make a big decision like that, OBL, I agree.
I read your post & feel really inspired to resume my decluttering. I got off to a good start, but then it sort of fizzled out. It is so good moving stuff on that has just been sitting around doing nothing but take up space, isn't it? You'll enjoy your room when it's finished. Love a lick of paint for freshening the place up.

I think you’re doing really well even if it’s in short bursts, much better than not progressing at all. Get you with your home gym 💪 When DS moved out within 2 weeks we’d converted his room to a gym 😆
Moving in with DD is something to consider as an option for the future should you need to. It’s lovely of her to offer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Sounds like you're making a lot of.progress even with the health difficulties and you're planning how to manage with the jobs.
It can't be easy being forced to go at a pace you're not used to.
Lots of big decisions for you to make. It's really nice that you have options as well. DD offering is lovely.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1
