Words fail me - & that doesn't happen often. Please do at least leave a comment. I know you are really unwell but the next time she drops a clanger like that someone could die. Let us be honest, if she was matron then she wasn't hands on. Even if you do it anon please do it. And if she didn't notice how you were breathing then she really was not doing her job. You have knowledge about this sort of thing, but think of someone who has no medical knowledge at all being passed off as you were. They would probably be left thinking it was all in their imagination.Sorry I've just read that back & it all sounds a bit OTT but I am not going to change it.2

Oh no, this is rubbish for you.
I suppose getting bored is a good sign, though not so nice for you.
Could the mis-reading be reported as something for them to look out for? Not quite a complaint but something you 'think you saw' and backed up by your notes and your own readings. After all, if it's happened to you, it may well happen to others. And it should be evident which way up it is because of the writing on the face of the pulse oximeter.
How nice that you were up to spending some time out in the sun. Tomorrow has a good forecast, at least it does here, so I hope you can spend more time outside.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks for a much calmer response from Cherryfudge, I do tend to get a little incensed. You should have seen me after an age 70 health check when the nurse doing that told me that having given up smoking over 30 years earlier would not have improved my health. If they ask me for an age 80 one next year I will be saying thanks but no thanks.4

Had a bad morning today and thought I was finally going to end up at the hospital but managed to avoid it. My sister messaged me to see how I was and I told her that I was just exhausted, everyone keeps telling me to phone up to ask about my appointment and hurry them along but they don’t seem to realise I feel too ill and I’m too tired to even think about phoning people, I just want to sleep. I then get a phone call from my sister to say she had phoned the hospital and spoken to someone in the respiratory dept and they told her there will be a MDT in April so I should hear from them soon. He said the person he needed to speak to about was in a meeting but he would have a word with her and phone my sister back, he hasn’t phoned back yet so we will see if he phones tomorrow. He also said that because I’m ill I could get the person who referred me to chivvy them along so I will ask the Rheumatologist on Monday if he can do that.I also got hold of my friend who I meet for coffee and asked if she could pick up my painkillers for me so she did that and came over for a coffee which cheered me up, she is also getting me some shopping tomorrow. I was going to try to pick up the prescription myself today but I realised when I got up that I wouldn’t be able to walk far enough from the bus stop.I did have a better afternoon though so that was good. I am ok so long as I don’t walk too far or have to use the stairs for anything so I need to remember to take everything I need down with me when I get up in the morning, it’s shame I don’t have a downstairs toilet because would just sleep downstairs.I have to phone the surgery tomorrow to get a sick note and also phone work to let them know I won’t be back next week so that will be fun, there’s just no way I can go to work like this though so it’s tough 🤷♀️Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205

Oh dear, OBL. I am sorry to hear you are feeling so awful, though good thar your sister & friend were able to help & that you had a better afternoon. As much as you like to be independent, it does sound as though you are not up to walks at the moment so even getting your prescriptions delivered could be useful? And yes, of course you can't possibly work until this infection has cleared & you can function more normally. Sending my best wishes anyway,

Sorry you've been so unwell. I hope you get a sick note that allows you to properly recover."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2
