Pleased you had a lovely Christmas. The debts are going in the right direction for you 👏 it makes sense to get as much behind you in savings, just in case you do have to finish work. Hope the medication helps so you don’t have to but if that’s what it takes to live a pain free life, it’s what needs to happen. How long now until you retire?
I bought the gks craft goodies for Christmas as they spend lots of time doing crafty things. I bought them both a bag from the works to pack them in. The eldest one loves books and the quote said ‘so many books….so little time’ (or something very similar) she was more thrilled with the £1 bag than some of the contents 😂😂😂
I have five years until I can claim my state pension 😩 I dont think that’s going to happen somehow. My grandsons like doing crafts as well 😀 this year they got a lot of Lego from various people. The eldest grandson loves reading so he was happy with the books he also got.

  • Work went ok yesterday as I was in clinics. I did have to remind myself how to use the computer system but it soon came back to me 😀 clinics aren’t so bad because I can sit down however I was very tired when I left so I went to sleep for couple of hours when I got home. We had a fun evening last night, I cooked us a roast dinner then we played games for a while before settling down to read.

Today I woke at at 7.30 because the bin men were outside but I was exhausted so I went and fed the cat and went back to bed, I woke up at ten am and was still really tired. We stayed at home today and read our books until it was time for DD to  get her train. I walked her to the train station then I came back and promptly fell asleep for four hours 😳.

I did get some washing done while I was asleep though so that’s good. I’m off to bed now because I’m still tired 🥱

You needed that sleep! It sounds as though you and your daughter had a nice time, very cosy.  :)

That's a shame about the mug but you have your memories and no one can take those.

I hope your daughter gets a break from these colds and you have enough energy to walk to town tomorrow.

It would’ve been lovely if you could’ve kept your dad’s mug but as Cherry says no one can take away your memories.

I won’t do washing on NY Day. The last time I did a work colleague said it was bad luck to do the washing and I’d wash someone out of the family. Later that year I lost my mum. Although I don’t consider myself to be superstitious I won’t risk it again. DD still reminds me every year.

I don't do the washing on NYD either.  It's nonsense really but still...
