Glad you had a nice time and hope work went ok today.

I love the idea of the book calendar!

I hope you let your manager know how much pain you were in?

I got a mystery book at a craft fair to add to my DIL's gift and I was intrigued by the gift... the book was wrapped in brown paper with a pen, a sachet of hot chocolate and a sachet of herbal tea. On the brown paper was written a description of the type of book it was (mystery, heart-rending, cliff-hanger). This is the nearest picture I could find on Pinster, and I bet you'd be able to craft some. They were selling for £8 each, or two for £15, so would maybe be a good money spinner for books you'd finished with which were "lightly read"!

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

So glad to read you had a good Christmas. The book calendar is a fabulous idea. The winter ghost stories book sounds great.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • That book does look good. I got a shopping canvas bag from my mum that said "just a girl that loves books and coffee" the picture is gorgeous x

Pleased you had a lovely Christmas. The debts are going in the right direction for you 👏 it makes sense to get as much behind you in savings, just in case you do have to finish work. Hope the medication helps so you don’t have to but if that’s what it takes to live a pain free life, it’s what needs to happen. How long now until you retire?
I bought the gks craft goodies for Christmas as they spend lots of time doing crafty things. I bought them both a bag from the works to pack them in. The eldest one loves books and the quote said ‘so many books….so little time’ (or something very similar) she was more thrilled with the £1 bag than some of the contents 😂😂😂
    January spends - £587.58

Wow someone saw a money making opportunity there. The books my daughter buys me are all second hand and all twelve only cost £35 😀
I told the matron in charge that I wasn’t feeling great but she wasn’t really interested and my boss had left without speaking to me 😳
