I've a working sink and dishwasher to end the week on 😃👏🏻 the dishwasher is on now and has saved us lots of washing up (from bulk cooking the weeks dinners)!
    Oh this is HUGE! 🎉🤩🥳🎊😊

    Very well done DP 😊

  • I've had £200 paid from ex. Moved it straight out to the EF. That's less than the amount ex thought was a fair price to pay for his DD, the amount he thought was fair was £250 and yet here we are. A game of control once again. I choose not to take part in his games nor respond. I've moved the money out and will wait on a CMS letter.

Work at 10 today and I'll take the car myself as DP has work to catch up on after a week off. He must be exhausted though as I heard him up in the night coughing....then I started coughing too 🙈 I'm praying I don't get a cold like he's had as he's not stopped coughing for a whole week so far.

On my work group chat we've got four off sick already this morning....when will the colds beggar off, we've had enough now. I've already had two since beginning of term.

DP won't find out more about his job until tomorrow he's been told so we're waiting on tenterhooks, alongside many others no doubt.

Right best get ready, my lunch is done though and I've everything ironed so nice easy day hopefully 😊.

Glad you've had some monies for the Ex and well done for moving it straight to the EF and not engaging any further .... (a complete waste of time!).

Sorry to hear about the coughing. Lots of water and Vitamin C! :)

Where have you got to on your foot? I have rather lost the thread on that.

  • @KajiKita I am waiting on drs to contact me about my foot. The pain was unbearable yesterday again and I hadn't done anything particularly strenuous ....some days it is okay (pain still there but manageable) and other days excruciating. I would like an answer as to whether there is any fracture before I seek out something myself to help.

@baldybear A friend has said the same to contact the school, I could do as I have all their contact details in an email... I hope Ex is just lying as per and DS is actually ok. :(

Work was okay, it went relatively quickly, I hid in the canteen at lunch and I had paid for the audbile subscription for 99p so I downloaded it to my phone and open up a book I had got with the subscription (flowers in the attic- anyone read it? I must have last read it over thirty years ago so I am enjoying hearing it again). And I put my bag up on the table, hid behind it and ate my lunch in relative peace with a story in my ears  I can be so antisocial when I want to be 🙈 I am just feeling so overwhelmed right now and no idea why so really needed that time to myself. I have set boundaries with the student and found her a friend to be with at lunch, and she seemed happier, chirpier after lunch so that was good.
I parked in the car park so had to pay for that, but DP had so many calls I would have ended up walking home which my foot wasn't up to, so needs must there, annoying though as I found a space for free on a side road, parked up, got out, kicked aside leaves and found three of us were actually on double yellow lines! So I moved my car and saw the parking warden rounding the corner as I drove off to the car park.... 😬so at least it was just the price of a car park rather than a parking fine.

Off to the gym in a bit, DP wants to burn off some mental energy I think as he suggested it, and in three months of going he's never once suggested the gym  he usually waits for DD and myself to drag him along. I will go too as need to collect my other parcel that arrived today- the tankini, and I fancy the sauna, I have been cold all day 🥶.
Dinner I will just do one of the pre-cooked ones from the fridge so will be nice and quick.

I've got £11 pending in a survey site. Trying to top up money this month with surveys and fb sales.
If this job scare has done nothing else it has highlighted to us how fragile we all are in big corp. jobs. Same for DP I think and he's got to thinking about what else he would rather do to be his own boss and not have others dictate whether he gets to keep his job or not (esp when he has been working SO hard since he started and turned around all sorts of things).
OOoo I am losing the light, I need to pop to back of garden as pumpkins are all going mouldy, they're headed for the compost ...so best go do that before it gets really dark (why is it so dark so quick already this year?)
