The OPs aren't huge but I'm pleased with how much we've paid anyway 😊. I can't wait to see the balance drop into the 150s and the interest reduced.

DP nearly (🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻) finished with the kitchen 😁👏🏻. I'm sat out of the way so I've been unable to do any bulk cooking as planned.

I'm feeling particularly tearful today so just trying to live mindfully and slowly today. The greenhouse, I went to clear it out, has a tonne of tomato still growing!! I collected a whole bowl of red ones and left the plants in place. Half filled the green bin and tidied one bed up of weeds (mostly bramble and bind weed from next door 🙄). I've read a few chapters in my book and I have ordered a juicer. I had vouchers so it's cost me nothing from my monthly budget. I'm going to attempt a nine day cleanse when I get It. I've a tonne of symptoms that suggest to me my body is suffering with inflammation (and drs diagnosed autoimmune disorders before so won't bother with them again). A cleanse did the trick for me back then although I had to stick to it for a few months to really get the energy and weight benefits as well as mental clarity, gut issues cleared up and skin cleared as well as things like aches and pains.... we'll see. If nothing else it might kick start me cutting down on sugar and caffeine 🫣.

Once DP has finished I will dust (so much drilling through walls and everything is brick coloured until I dust it!) and also mop the floor then look at doing some bulk dinners (mindful of my cleanse so will make them plant based with no gluten). Hopefully can get a fair few dinners out of the fridge contents.
Also thinking about going back to river ford for fruit and veg as struggling to find organic even in Mr T and Mr W here... And now there is only three of us it shouldn't be too expensive. Think it's worth the investment and as we've moved I may be able to get a discount as new customer 🤔😉.

  • I've applied for another job. It's less hours than I do currently (20 as opposed to 24) 🫤🤔 so might be a problem if DP is facing job loss. But I figured if his job is safe then I'd much rather this job to my current one. It's not in education, it's back in retail. I've been particularly fussy with which retailer though and have scrolled on by the ones I know I'd be run off my feet all day/ stressed / are not for me 🫣 it is also a five minute bike ride or fifteen mins walk from home...

DP booked us a mini getaway abroad the other day- actually two days before we had the news of job instability...and I did debate cancelling it but we've kept it as it is just a long weekend. Anyhow, I've had to book it in school holidays though to fit in with my job. And it cost us 2.5 times more than two weeks before or after that time. 🫤
And my new goals are to enjoy life and have new experiences. That means going away to me personally, so I'd like to move away from the education system for purely selfish reasons of wanting some cheaper holidays 🙈 is that bad? 🤣 Don't really care if it is. It is what it is and I spent my whole marriage being stuck at home whilst ex travelled the world with the army. I feel it's my time....so that leaves me to find a job elsewhere now 😁 that kind of means the job I applied for the other day is no good....it's not student facing but it is term time and in the college still. Meaning expensive holidays when we book them.

However if DP job is definitely on the list for loss I will have to change plans....and back to hoping I get an interview for the full time college position. I don't really want it, but if I am offered an interview and we've not heard anything back from DP work then I will go. Needs must and DP has looked after me and my children all this time so I have several paths here that might be possible....and I'm still on the lookout on job sites for other roles too. God my brain is doing laps and laps and finding it's way through sticky treacle pudding trying to find solutions. Meanwhile DP has the opinion, it is what it is ....oh how I wish that were my outlook 🤣💕😁

  • Hope you are feeling a little better today DFW , it must be such a worry for you with your youngest DS . Would he speak to DD if she were to call ? You have had a tough week with worry about your partners job and your own job hunting . Hope things improve soon xx

He's ignoring DD too. It's all too sad and a bit odd. He was progressively getting ruder and more aggressive towards DD and myself when here (acting a lot like his dad) and I don't know what rubbish ex is telling him but he is absolutely saying something because he's basically cut me and DD off.
Thank you, I've applied for two jobs but I don't know which if either I actually want ...am feeling so confused lately which doesn't help me. 💖 Thank you

  • So DP and I were at the gym early. I am back and just as soon as I stepped in the house I had a notification that my parcel was delivered to the drop off point!! Right on the same road as the gym grrrr!! I had an intuitive nudge it would arrive this morning but we missed it by minutes - literally!
Today I'm going to empty the fridge out and make a meal plan for the week based on what we have then shop for anything missing from it.
I'm trying to avoid gluten again as feeling dizzy and poorly every time I eat it. It's hard though when everyone around you is eating it. If I am going to eat it I think I'll have it in evening meals because I don't feel sluggish all day then. But avoidance altogether is best.

I cashed out £93 in cashback yesterday 👏🏻 this will pay for the ik3a trip for the kitchen bits. Also cashed out £5 survey voucher for a shop and £9 from a survey site.

Not much planned today really just chilling before work tomorrow. Feel sick to the pit of my stomach about going in, and it's not even a bad day on a Monday....🫤 Wonder if I need to just sort my mental health out and then the job wouldn't seem so overwhelming.

I worked out that a 20 hour a week job pays the same as my 24 hour a week one because my wages are equated in my current one. So I can swap to a lesser contract and still come out the same each month. So I'll carry on looking at jobs and perhaps I will find one that fits eventually.

I think once I know what our future looks like - redundancy or not, new job for me or not ..I will start a new diary on here. I feel this one has lost its way and the energy I once had as well as goals being lost/ changed along the way.

You have had a lot on, some big emotional changes and you are sad.  No wonder you feel a little "lost on the way".  Sending love xx
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Thanks @Watty1💖
I know disruption sometimes has to happen for change to happen so I'm doing my best to go with the flow. Having the odd wobble though 🙈.
Today we did the meal plan and I ended up shopping in Mr lid and Mr Tsco came home after and I got straight into bulk cooking a lentil / mushroom spag bol, shepherds pie and chilli. So three dinners are almost done, just need the chips/ mash/ rice or whatever we're serving with each one cooking.
Doing a Buddha bowl tonight as lots of leftover bits like hummus and guac and salad bits that need eating...will try and do enough for my lunch tomorrow too.
It's a short day tomorrow so just psyching myself up for it. And Tues will be the countdown to my day off.

My swimming costume got picked up a d it fits! Very booby though not sure if suitable for aqua aerobics 🤔 it has a bra built in though which Is good, boobs are where they're supposed to be 🫣🤣.

Right best get back up and start prepping the dinner before DD reaches for all the snacks after work ....
