  • @KajiKita I had to Google 'scotch mist' 🤭🤣 had no clue what you were on about, I'd heard the cockney slang meaning before....and thought um that doesn't fit..or does it? 🤣. Thank you @beanielou @daisy_1571 I feel like all of you on here actually understand me better than my real life family anyway 🥰 I feel heard on here, I rarely do in RL.

Okay I've been through all my banks, and budget and trying to clear the befuddlement 😩😂. Easily done when you are me. I'm sure I have scrambled egg for brains. Right so I've shifted money around as we've had some big expensive purchases (Nada planned for!)
    Cooker -£1347
TV- 400(? Can't remember now as split into three)
Car -157 (not too bad considering we barely paid any labour on that).

Shoes. Oh Emm Geeee I have shoe purchases and refunds coming out my ears. This required five full minutes of my time alone this morning 😂. I ordered one pair on v1nted poor lady sent them to wrong house very apologetic but anyway left us shoe-less before the big night out. I panicked as DP has large wide feet and so I ordered three pairs on @mazon so that we had choice! 🙈 So we had three refunds after choosing a pair. Pleased to say all refunds are in - I had to check as I paid from wrong bank account so was watching the wrong one looking for the refund! Anyway all is back in.
I *think* the only outstanding is that cooker. The biggest of the lot 😳😬.

I've moved money around and put money back into a couple of pots I raided so the banks look a little healthier considering we're not even half way through the month (and most were nearing empty). I've enough now for fuel, food, bills. And if dp has any in his bank that's extra.
I also paid the last pay in three off the holiday booking for the Xmas market and to visit DS (looking forward to that I've never been to Bath).

I've over two hundred in cash still so need to pay that into a bank. That's going straight to the savings. I then have enough to pay the plumber. If refund comes in for cooker I need £148 to top it up for the payment for new cooker.
And breathe. I feel better for checking. I don't like months where money is in out, in out, (shake it all about.)

Today I'm popping to Mr T need cake for parents in law, teabags (nice ones hate the cheapy ones) and some fruit. Must stay restrained as want to keep on top of (newly topped up) budget.

Right dp is calling me, best be off for now....

  • Oh wow, I've just tried to figure out my daily interest ( thanks to seeing @skint_spice do it ) 😳 I wish I'd never bothered 🫣.
I have three parts to my mortgage so it was quite hard to do it with the calculator I found. Instead I went off the interest I'm already paying, anyway, it works out to be *drum roll please* a very depressing £15.10 a day 😩😳🤣. Blimey.
However in 18 years and 10 months it will all be mine 👀. 😬
