Painting sold 😁 someone in a big house bought it. Glad it's going to a nice house with a nice big wall for it 😆.
The money paid for the car and we have around £75 left I think. The big bits on the car were fixed for free and we did one of the MOT bits seeing as though they were in the area fixing the other problem (don't ask me what's been fixed that's above my pay grade 🤣) it meant we could save some money on labour 🤭.

I'm utterly exhausted and didn't prep lunch so had to buy some out. Spent less than a fiver, but still...
DP is off to London tomorrow for his award thing. I'm going to have to walk home from work (,up hill  and long road about a mile and no bus route 🙈) and currently can barely walk 😖 between plantar fascitis And sciatica pain- I'm sore. And was on my feet all day so not helped me at all 🙈. Off to bed soon and will take painkillers to try and sleep. One more day then it's the weekend but won't get much rest as DP parents are up and we'll be out and about.

Any chance a colleague could give you a lift home?

If you can’t get a lift from a colleague, just for once, book a taxi. If you are struggling that much you will end up really hurting yourself!

So glad KK said, for once book a taxi out loud. She is right.   Sometimes throwing money at a problem is a good solution.  I really think this is one of those times.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

  • It is the weekend! 4pm couldn't come quick enough today! I was home by 4.10, DP brought the car as close as he could get it and dropped the keys off to me at lunchtime. I was almost as close as a taxi could have got so saved time waiting and money paying for it. You can't get a taxi down the hill where I worked today so you have to walk up anyway to the square at the top, DP was parked about a 4 min walk from there so was ok.

I have ordered a takeaway for DD and I, less than £20.

So I have refunds coming in all over the place and am really starting to get befuddled with it all, the refund for the ski trip is in (yay), the refund for the table and chairs came in, but the cooker might take 5-7 days, the shoes also the same. I need to not just spend the money nilly-willy as it comes in and make sure it is used properly or goes back to the right pots. If the cooker refund doesn't come in by the time the CC bill is due I will have to shift the payment to a pay in 3. I was hoping not to do this but I don't have £1400 sat around :grimace: . The ski money can top up the refund of broken cooker and I can then pay for the new cooker which was more expensive so let's do a collective vision of the money arriving before the CC is due  .

I received the CC with the £50 cashback from the TV today. I think I need to activate it. Will save it for nearer to xmas.
I booked some tickets to a ghost hunt locally here next weekend, £27 for three.

DP has spoke to his parents and they are wanting to do their own thing on Saturday and we will see them either Sat evening or Sunday. So I might get a lazy Saturday it seems (although will have to tidy house they will want to see the new extension.)

I’m just glad you didn’t have to walk home! 😊

I’ve been in that whirling, swirling melee of cash, moving everywhere all at once. Not a nice place to be in but it passes and calm will return, honest 😉😊

A bit of downtime tomorrow sounds just the ticket and you can quietly potter through the tidying at your own pace and still have a tidier, happier house after DP’s parents have gone 😊 How do you get on with them?

Hope you enjoy the takeaway some time with DD 😊

  • I get on okay with DP parents @KajiKita his mum is a little highly strung which I can find stressful sometimes, his dad is lovely though (same temperament as DP 🥰) ...I can handle mum though she is a thousand times better than my ex's mum. 'nuff said. And considering my mum doesn't even talk to me I quite like it when they visit as I feel I've barely any family left 💓.
Takeaway was good. Shower and watch some TV I think before bed. DP sent me a picture of himself in his tux he looks very handsome and I hope he has a good night ☺️ (also hope get some money refunded for the tux 🫣🤭 haha).
