I've looked over the table and chairs and there were chips In several places ☹️
I've messaged the seller and she's offered to take it back and redo it (and I'd probably be without a dining table again for weeks) or a partial refund so I've sent a message saying I'd rather the partial refund (20%). I feel bad for complaining but it wasn't all that cheap and I will have to retouch it.
Shoes have been decided on so I'll send two pairs back tomorrow for a refund too. And the parcel from v1nted still isn't here 🤔 hmm I paid extra for 48 hours post too so it should be... anyway will send that back when it arrives too. DP looks very dapper in his suit now and the shoes finished it off. Although he chose the not so shiny pair over the patent.
Still no refund from the ski trip I will chase that on my day off tomorrow. 🙃 Refunds going on all over the place here.
Right off to chill before bed I don't feel like I've stopped all day.

Absolutely exhausted, I've been and dropped the car to the garage, I drove DD car and DP drove ours, I drove us both back once dropped. The email that DP has sent has triggered a quick response which is good but they've not promised anything yet. I went and dropped DP home just as DD was leaving the house so I dropped her to school as I was on my way to the gym. I did my first body balancing class today. All I will say is, bloody ouch. With all the issues with my body at the mo I was really struggling but also trying to keep up because I didn't want everyone to think I was stupid not being able to get into some of the basic poses 🙈 god if my 25 year old me could see me now even she'd laugh. I used to be really good at pilates and yoga and I nearly fell flat on my face twice today 🤔. However the pigeon pose well I was excellent at that 😂 I use it all the time for my sciatica. Anyway a day or two off for me now from exercise. I'll go again maybe Fri as we have a busy weekend with DP parents coming up but no promises 🤭.
I've got to take the shoes to a5da to send back to big river company. Then I need to get to the opticians to try and change my glasses. I have started wearing my old scratched up one as they don't give me headaches and eye strain...they're slightly not right any more but much better than the new ones that are far too strong. So I'm hoping they can find me a better prescription (and at no cost I hope I paid enough the first time!)
Will call the school too about the refund for the ski trip. I think that will have to go straight into savings for either car or plumbing work. Pots are all a bit empty at the mo really need to work on building them back up again asap. At the minute I'm just focusing on throwing every spare penny into the EF but that is basically a savings for all fund and whatever shouts the loudest is getting it.
I'm going to look at what I can paint over the chairs and table I received because they seem to have a very thin coat of paint and as stated before it's chipped enroute to us... maybe a varnish or something? I will look later when I have a minute. I'm just enjoying a cup of tea before I go back out for the next lot of jobs..
I also need to drive across the city to n3xt as DD said to me two days ago....my shoes have holes in 🤦🏻♀️ the soles were literally falling off. When I asked how long they'd been like that- oh ages. 🤦🏻♀️ Why do kids do this. Ugh. So anyway I ordered her some shoes for next day delivery (which turned into two Day but nevermind) and I have a pair of knee high boots in there for myself if they fit me. If not they can go back. I've not received a text to say they're there yet but hopefully they will be by end of the day.Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. I have, and waitr0se, the local garden centre and a couple of other nice shops but I think I've either missed the Xmas jobs or there wasn't any/not up yet? I actually put a notification on for our local waitr0se as I can walk there in 10 minutes. And none ever seem to come up, they're always for the next town along or night shift ones which I won't do.Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Four chairs, one table lacquered. One cooker collected for refund.
DD shoes fit her and my knee high boots are slightly too baggy around the Calves. I don't usually have a problem with them, so will check to see if I ordered extra large ones or something. If not I'll try them on again in front of a mirror and see if it really notices. If not I'll likely keep them.
I've chairs on old towels all over my living areas drying off 😬 and this is EXACTLY why I paid over the odds for an already finished product. But as DP was saying earlier when we know how to do these jobs ourselves and have indeed done them several times in the past we are probably a bit picky when we pay someone else to do the job for us 😬. He was having the conversation about plumbing and I'm now thinking it about painting furniture/ finishing jobs. Lesson here is- don't be lazy DFW you could have done this yourself and for less than half the price 😬🫣. I just couldn't bare to do any more DIY jobs, and yet, I ended up doing it anyway 🤣.
Garage called about the car, usual spiel of we can't prove you didn't bring it in like this Vs our word of the car was bloody fine until you got hold of it. Anyway we got the part where they said, 'They will fix it this time' so that's what they're doing. We have also added on a job for them to do whilst they're there as it was an advisory on the MOT. So we will get a bill. Hopefully less than £200. 🙄 Cars, kids and pets are the most expensive things ever. I remind myself of this every time I have pangs for a new dog 💓.

DP has (hopefully) sold a huge painting we had 🙌🏻🤩 we loved the painting but totally misjudged how large it was out of the antique shop 🤭. We've struggled to place it in the house (and the last one) and decided to sell it. Plus DP thinks it's haunted. If it goes today it will free up an entire huge wall and give us enough cash to pay for the car 🙏🏻🤞🏻 fingers crossed it goes!!
Ps I'm in agony after that exercise class and now have to stand on my feet all day!Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. O-£200EF- £642.41/500

Hope painting and ghost find a new home today - and - that standing is not as bad as you thinkMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
