Buying a little piece of Middle England; Manifesting my way to mortgage free.

I've woken up full of cold after people sneezing and coughing and spluttering all over me yesterday 🙄🤧🤧. I'm going to attempt to go in anyway seeing as though everyone there seems to already have it.
I didn't sleep very well after chatting to my friend last night, so I'm super tired too. I think I'll go in and get my tick in the register and decide whether I'm staying or not after that 😉 I've no loyalty to them anymore and happy to leave if feeling unwell as they day goes on. Atm though it's just cold and tiredness.
Right best get up I suppose and start getting ready.4 -
Hope you feel better as the day progresses although i suspect you may not.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Fell better soon!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Evening all, well work was alright. I dosed up on expensive lemsip 🤑 (they cost a fortune!!) and had another at lunch. The day was alright but I really didn't want to be there for a multitude of reasons 🫣.
I have paid for the medicals we had in August... we will have them sent by tomorrow eve. I will send the receipt for Money to be paid back to us.
My day off tomorrow, I've got aqua aerobics booked for the morning but not much else is planned. Lazy day I hope as need some rest. DP has hoovered everywhere today so I don't need to do that tomorrow and can just do the usual washing and tidying.

I've had an epic sleep nearly 12 hours! Feeling more rested today. I think I just crashed yesterday.
I forgot we also have a lunch date planned as I've nearly £15 of pizza express vouchers that have to be used up by the weekend.
The new cooker will be here on Saturday and I'll package up the old one ready for collection next week. I was a bit disappointed it was going but actually the door drove us all mad and the stainless steel is a nightmare to keep clean without smudges 🤣 so the enamel one should be easier to keep in a better state of cleanliness.
I had a dream last night and I was in the BEST charity shop ever. Things were so cheap! I was really irritated because the bus driver had dropped us off at the wrong stop and so I made him come with me to carry my shopping 🤣🤦🏻♀️ and I was like ooo a CS. So we went in and there was some amazing stuff and all priced how CS used to price stuff! However as I was wandering around I'm picking bits up going how strange I have this, and this omg and this !!! I turned to my friend and said omg I'm so disappointed I'm dreaming aren't I ...and then woke up 🤣🤣 the friend was a friend I haven't seen for years either so that was odd too.
Anyway, tea ☕ wake me up and then I need to make sure the guy who's coming out today to (re)do the windowsill has finished before I go swimming.6 -
I managed aqua aerobics and a little sit in the sauna for fifteen minutes after.
I popped back home and the building inspector turned up just as I was about to go out again - he promised to be really quick and came and took a few pics to sign us off and check the build quality etc. he was super impressed that we'd done the kitchen and made the new space homely already.
Then we went back out for our lunch date. We ended up spending £17 on top of the vouchers which is madness as we shared a pizza and bottled water and one starter. It's so expensive in there 😵💫. Anyway it was nice and we had a good time. DP got an email invite whilst in there for an award ceremony I think next week 😱 he doesn't think he's up for an award it is just an invite for dinner but I'm not so sure. Anyway black tie event we need to find a suit for that 😬.
On to my VB which I've been lacking on lately I've filled it with sentences but I need some visuals so will find some pics and print them off. A very kind friend has dowsed on the energy on my home. And me. I tried to do this myself last year using the same technique but just felt so blocked. And anyway she's found some interesting things. I've been very spiritually blocked lately and we think we found the cause (thank you friend, she's on here if anyone else needs her services 😅♥️). I'm going to sage my house in a mo and open windows. Demons be gone.
Bean chilli tonight which I'll prep in a bit. Also did two jobs I've been putting off for ages today- made an appointment at opticians as glasses are way too strong. Got one for next week. And also posted four letters I've been holding on to for ages 🫣.
I picked up some bits at a CS too (clothes) but the dress needs to go back, I think the rest is okay though. Just cheap clothes for work wear. Anyone that reads this diary who is, um how shall I put it, blessed (I say cursed though) in the bosom department?? Where o where do you buy a decent fitting dress. I soooo miss wearing girly clothes since pepper berry shut that I end up in trousers and jeans most days. If I size up a dress it's baggy everywhere else and if I buy my size I cannot get It over my chest. DP has joked that if we ever have enough money I'll be getting a reduction. It's not a joke I will be putting that on my VB too 😅😅. I got a raincoat from there for a tenner which will fold up nicely into my work bag. Looks waterproof rather than showerproof. Looks brand new too which is a bonus.
Right off to cleanse the house before teenager gets home and moans about it.2 -
I'm off work 'sick' honestly I'm just exhausted from life. But I have allowed myself a few days to recover enough energy to go in next week.
I bought some headphones yesterday with a voucher I had so I'm going to meditate this morning, then change my bedsheets and work my way downstairs.
DP and I have decided to empty DS2 room out this weekend so we can give it a spruce with some paint and ready for new furniture. It needs a new injection of life in there.
DP is off to the suit hire shop in town to find something for his black tie event. We're not sure if the suit hire will be expensable or not, and DP was going to cancel if it's not. But I said no way we'll find the money, they've not invited many from his branch of the business so I think he should take the opportunity to mix with the top dogs if it is on offer. He loves his job so making his name known at socials is definitely the way to get remembered when it is time for promotions I think. (Suit will have to go on CC we are not doing so great already with money this month).
I'm going to do some gardening today, just cleaning and clearing.
I'm going to meditate.
I'm going to make a nice dinner.
I'm going to listen to one record.
I'm going to move some bits of furniture about that aren't quite right (small bits don't worry won't hurt myself).
I'm going to print pictures for my vision board.
And I'm going to read for at least half hour.
These are things for me...I need to do more of these every day. I seem to have lost me a little (a lot) since returning to the out of house workforce.2 -
Oh and OP went out this morning! I've reached my yearly target of 1% paid off £1783.67 (target was £1650). Not much but every little helps right 😊4

For future I’ve always seen formal suits in the charity shops - might be worth getting one and sticking it in the wardrobe.Hopefully the few down days will help you recover, it’s a long term this one!Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j1 -
Thanks dawny. DP has odd measurements. Really long legs (he's over 6ft) and the ones we've picked up before always fit on the body then way too short on the legs. We will keep our eyes open for one although this could be a one off and he might never need it again ♥️.dawnybabes said:For future I’ve always seen formal suits in the charity shops - might be worth getting one and sticking it in the wardrobe.Hopefully the few down days will help you recover, it’s a long term this one!
Students get two weeks holiday in October -we get one. However we get two weeks off from students so that's a win in my eyes.
I have already meditated this morning. And am off to do my gratitude list in a mo. Changed the bed and had a quick tidy around. Delegated a top to the bin I've somehow got hair dye all over it 🙈 was only a CS top anyway so decluttered to the bin.
It's a lovely sunny day here so I'll get into the garden soon if only for half hour I think it will help. 😊2
