Afternoon...one more day left at work!
So yes the barley...has gluten. The broth is GF. 🤣 One day I will check everything BEFORE buying it. One day ...
My energy today is drained...batteries depleted. I've got. Tickle in my throat that keeps erupting into a horrible cough I cannot stop. Twice today I've been in tears at work purely because once I start coughing I cannot stop It 🙄it's annoying more than anything else.
I have my three month probation meeting tomorrow. During lunch which I'm not very happy about. So I'm leaving early whether they like it or not. I am paid minimum wage and refuse to work any extra for free.
I'm also going to ask about swapping my Fri as I've had a complaint from a student I have...I literally wrote down what had happened and she's disputed it and complained about me and a tutor also in the class and the tutor had to have a meeting about it today. I wasn't invited to stick up for myself I found out about it afterwards. She felt I was picking on her 🤦🏻♀️ jeez I make it my mission to avoid her. I literally did the opposite of whAt she said I did. Thank god the tutor was there and got angry on my behalf. I also have the other student who's made me cry and whom hates my guts for no apparent reason so I feel it would be in all our best interests to move me elsewhere. Absolutely fed up to the back teeth of it. I actually said to the manager today do you really think I am bothered about a he said she said contest? I am here to do my hours. Do the best I can given the students I have on any particular day. And leave. End of. I don't want to dislike or take favour with any one student..I do my job. The student complaining has made out I hate her and single her out. I actually said six words to her in the last class.... xXX would you like some help? Her reply was FK off no. I wrote down.... XXX refused my help so I didn't offer again. Perhaps next time I will write down word for word her response 😊🤷🏻♀️.
Anyway enough pathetic work drama...nice to have an outlet though.
Been a spendy day as I forgot valentine's day. And I ordered a few bits on Amazon. Some choc for kids as well as DP. I felt like we all collectively deserved some. End of really even though it is a commercialised waste of time I saw it as a good excuse for chocolate. 😁❤️❤️❤️
Right dinner and find something for this blooming cough it's driving me mental.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

CrazyBee787 said:Hi @debtfreewannabe321 as nice as it is that DP has found some frames that are well suited in the opticians, when I get glasses, I get the same style frame from glasses website? and MSE sometimes do a promocode and you can get a pair with lenses for circa £25, and they look just as good as designer, they are not fitted but you can order two and get one tighter fitting then the other which means you should have one that fits and you will know what fitting to choose next time. £500 is too much! I know I can't afford it. I have sent them back before they processed them if you change your mind about it, even if they are processing they will stop and refund you. Just a thoughtXX
He's been told he needs reading glasses too but he can wear those cheap ones he was told that you can just pick up for a few quid. He was told the prescription for that. Who knew you could come away with three different prescriptions? Work, life and reading 🤔....
My last glasses a few years ago were £130 just for bog standard ones with nothing fancy. Frames were nice but nothing special on the lenses. Glasses are expensive.
I have the two kids on Saturday too. I think DD might need a new prescription but she wears mostly contacts so we will just change the prescription on that. So hopefully no more cost additional to this £500.... 🥴😊MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I do seem to have some sort of block KK. I wonder if it's because I've always been mum first, worker second. And I really have no direction with a career like some of you and because I don't know what I want or what would suit I can't focus on manifesting something right. I need to sit down and meditate on this....MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I think the universe is trying to tell you something here. you are worth so much more, you have skills you are not using, you inspired me and so many of us to try the vision board and with, in some cases, great success.
Please take what you like here, ignore what you don't, but I am so sending you vibes to branch out, have a go, use those skills to bring in an income. If you come up with the germ of an idea I know so many of us - who you have helped - will offer that help right back in spades.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -

I've had fabulous results with the VBs in every area of my life aside from work. It is a block and I need to change this for sure. I need to sit down and have a think. I helped DP manifest a job that wasn't even a job for goodness sake...we literally wrote what skills he wants to use and learn more of and it materialised like *piff* *paff* *pooooff* 🤣 so I know I can do this.
I had varying results at work today. Firstly one of the worst ones of today has been suspended after threatening to unalive another student and nearly throwing him down some stairs. - no joke.
Secondly the one who'd threatened me was in but on bestest ever behaviour because he's two weeks from being expelled. He even asked me for help. However I couldn't bring myself to do more than the very basics.
So I brought this up during my review and said really I'm doing these three particular students a disservice because I do NOT want to help them any more. I've had things thrown at me, I've had insults, I've been threatened and intimidated and last time I was with them they were glaring at me whilst singing sexually explicit woman hating lyrics and honestly I don't want to even bother disliking people it takes too much energy but that's where I'm at now. And I don't want to help them. So really I should be moved if for nothing else but because of this .... I've said however if you don't move me then I will go to these classes. But I will refuse to help them when they're behaving as they have recently. So it's your call. I'm not paid enough to be worrying about this any more.
Also at three thirty I walked out - I did tell the tutor I was going to. My lunch break was used for the review and I'm not being paid then so I took it back.
Basically I've come to the point as I do in most jobs were I no longer am the doormat or easy pushover any more and will dig my heels and refuse to do anything over and above. 🤷🏻♀️
However some good came from the review she will speak to the manager about moving me... She knows about my c-ptsd now. And I got feedback, several tutors have praised me personally and several students have named me as their favourite one to one (in some classes I am more like a one to twenty!) which should bode well for me because two of today's students have obviously complained about me and what I wrote about them on my write ups. Three separate tutors had my back though so there's that. One tutor asked me why I haven't done my teacher training as I should be doing that not my job....it was the path I was on before children...but I feel it is a finality that seals my fate in a way and I'm not sure if I want to do that. However the pay is obviously more.
It's not the job I was talking about before though. I found out the details of that and it is basically the technician job so there is lots of work with classes still and not as hands off as I initially thought...so unsure what to do. .
However....it's half term. Yay!
I want to do at least one fun thing with DP, DS and DD during this time! Take out this evening....and a shopping trip with Just DD and myself planned but nothing else yet. I'm still suffering with a cough at the mo and energy is up and down but the worst of this awful bug / flu/ whatever it is has passed finally!
Not a nsd I treated myself to a fizzy drink at lunch 🤷🏻♀️😁
Okay I hereby promise to leave work at work now and no moaning about it for one week at least. Tell me off if I start PLEASE 🥺🤣.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
