  • so sorry to hear about the work stress and being sworn at etc

i actually bought a plug in electric reader so you can plug each appliance in to the way via the reader and it shows you the usage and calculates the cost per hour etc of use .. or over 24 hours - you can even plug in your electricity cost
gave it to my parents - or I would send it to you - it was only about £10 I think though
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I've got one I bought it in the last house and it was what made me so obsessed with costings. I sold everything that cost too much 🙈 it turned out it was the lights in this house... something I couldn't plug in to the reader. Every white good I have is A+ or A++ so I am hoping we've got to the bottom of the massive unexpected bill now.

Thanks re the kids. They weren't in today I have my fingers crossed they are not in tomorrow when I am with them!

My 12 year old granddaughter has an app on her phone, you read the barcode on any food product and it tells you if it contains gluten. Sorry I do not know what the app is called. It is easier than reading all ingredients which can be in very small writing. I am now the proud owner of gluten free gravy granules and they taste no different to normal ones.

Hope it is a better Friday.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
