so sorry to hear about the work stress and being sworn at etc
i actually bought a plug in electric reader so you can plug each appliance in to the way via the reader and it shows you the usage and calculates the cost per hour etc of use .. or over 24 hours - you can even plug in your electricity cost
gave it to my parents - or I would send it to you - it was only about £10 I think thoughDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

My 12 year old granddaughter has an app on her phone, you read the barcode on any food product and it tells you if it contains gluten. Sorry I do not know what the app is called. It is easier than reading all ingredients which can be in very small writing. I am now the proud owner of gluten free gravy granules and they taste no different to normal ones.2

Awful night sleep. I've been up since 3:30 ruminating and concocting scenarios in my head. I couldn't shut it up. So I got up. I've had breakfast and a cup of tea. I will be dead on my feet by later. I've got an old movie on with Cary Grant in, life seemed so simple back then eh all romantic music and glamorous people arguing with soft voices 😆.
I need to make some lunch or else I'll end up with chips for lunch again 🫣.
I've managed to make the food last all week 👏🏻 so the food budget should stretch fine now until the end of the month. I'll do a shopping list in a bit and go out tomorrow to get It.
Hoping and praying for a quiet day today at work which should ease my anxiety and poor overthinking brain somewhat. If it's another bad day I'm going to have to go and speak to someone about changing my Fridays around.
Right time for another cuppa...MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
