Had a very long morning, have been home a couple of hours though and already sat down and watched a movie and chilled. I should be shopping right now, Buuuuuuuuut I don't want to. I am leaving it until I need to. We have food in maybe just not that many obvious dinners. I am certain I can rustle some up though.
DD has had her appointment at the orthodontist and has a plan in place with many appointments in the calendar already - including two for four tooth extractions! I have tried to fit as many as possible in around DD's lessons and also my day off. Most should be okay but she has to miss a few lessons here and there. I took her in for her last lesson of the day after a quick trip to the uniform shop and my clothing budget obliteratedit almost lasted a month...
I have some washing on but haven't done too much else today. I have pains in my shins and don't want to aggravate the shin splints I had before. So I think my body is telling me to stop
The sun is out finally. This morning was a thick heavy blanket of fog. Oddly we drove past the sign for the town we drove to for the orthodontist and as we got past it the fog disappeared instantly. Was so bizarre, they had sunshine and it felt warm
Not much else to report really!

Managed to reset my ISA account. I lost the details on my old phone after thinking I had transferred them all across (and hadn't!).
Also got survey sites up to pay out level so cashed out £11 something on those. Will use that for MOP when it arrives.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Oh I forgot to say the PO was shut when I got to my old town (no surprise that's one of the reasons we left - hardly anything is open longer than a few hours a day!) but wasn't a wasted trip as the new owners of our old house messaged me as I was on my way over, oddly enough, and said we had post there. So I popped by to collect with their permission (so weird knocking on your old door and not just letting yourself in 🫣😆) and they said they were loving the house and everyone had gone to them on Christmas day and they'd hosted for about a dozen family and friends and people were so complimentary about all the decor .....sigh..... They've not changed anything btw even my pink and green doors they loved 😉 and I caught a little glimpse of the carpet and hard floors I am still paying for ....and my resolve to pay it off doubled 🤣 nothing like a bit of motivation. I then intend to make my new house as pretty as the old one so we can enjoy it. Perhaps with some new carpet too 🤣😁MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Oh and also as I drove down my old road. ..four houses were up for sale! One like ours (only ours was a corner plot so big garden) it went up for sale one week after we sold and moved out of ours! It's still up for sale no sold sign (4 months for sale).
That's the workings of a very good vision board right there 😉 I'm convinced.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Thanks CrazyBee eve was ok but I'm really struggling with exhaustion still. Not sure why but I think a week's worth of bad sleeps probably mostly to blame. Going to try and get an early night as I'm going to be no good at work tomorrow like this! 😴MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Had a better sleep last night ☺️ I think I passed out from exhaustion rather than drifted off into a nice sleep but whatever I'll take it. I've been having bad dreams all week so it's probably one reason why I'm not sleeping well. Last night I don't remember any dreams which is preferable so all good. I think I've been having a week long adrenaline crash after last Friday's shenanigans at work. I'm slowly feeling more at peace in my body....just as I'm coming round to another whole day with them tomorrow. 🙄
Today has been an okay morning although there has been things going on around us that are distracting it's not been in my actual class. I was left to teach for an hour whilst actual teacher went to sort some issues out. My Thursday class is my favourite by far they're all girls and even when not in a good mood it's more catty behaviour (which I can deal with) than aggressive and throwing things and screaming and fighting - which is what triggers my adrenaline spikes and then crashes. Which is what my Fridays are like.
I've made a mistake once again with gluten. Sigh. Will I ever get It right 😆. So I have been eating couscous this week - 2 days- and did not know that it contains gluten. I really need to have a proper look and understand the foods containing it. I always think of the obvious ones like pasta and bread things but gravy caught me out as has couscous. And a few other bits. I'm feeling dizzy and nauseous again because I've been eating it. I'm debating next month doing a detox. And a separate meal plan for me and then DP and the kids. It's not fair I have to limit them as I do myself because of dairy, sulphites and gluten so I think maybe I should bulk cooking things for me and stick to my own diet completely compared to them.
Not a NSD I got an offer on hedges through my emails...I have been waiting for one so took it as it came. Around £60 paid for twenty hedges and feed. I've paid on a buy now pay in thirty days CC (k1arna) and will pay from next month's budget. Happy with the price and it was a planned spend. (Xmas presents remember 😆) And I think twenty should be plenty enough to do the front and perhaps some of the side of the driveway. Kinda is a NSD though as I'm not paying anything today 🤔. Hmm anyway.
I've cashed out a bit more on surveys. Think around £6 something needs to check and then pay over to my MOP I want to hit that £100 goal every month if I can. As that's an extra £1200 in the year. And the mortgage it's paying towards is my smaller £20,000 one so £1200 is a fair bit I think. 6% if I've worked that out right? That's the mortgage on 4 something %. The larger one is still on 2.49% so I'm not paying anything extra towards that at the moment. Perhaps I should though....
DP has just got out of the dentist with DD the appointment was at 11.25 but they were running an hour late. They appeared to be running late yesterday when DD was the first patient in. 🤔 Luckily I'm doing most of the appointments so I won't complain as much as DP does 🫣
I need to move my emergency fund. Has anyone seen any good interest rates going on savers? Mine is dropping hugely as it matures so need to move it. My ISA matures end of April so I guess I need to look to move that too. It's all too grown up for me and I've never had an ISA long enough to worry about where to put It when it's matured. I've usually spent it all by that point 🫣 so guess I need to look into that too....
