Thanks all, this morning went ok. I went straight up to main offender of last week who asked me, "who I was and what was I doing there and I dunno what your name is even. No one wants you here" and said good morning so my name is X and I am here to help YOU as you have the ehcp. Your parents want me here and I hope that answers any questions you have about me? If you've more please tell me now.... He looked horrified and muttered something about ok and has left me alone ALL day even when I've asked him things in class he's not made any snarky remarks as he usually does to ALL staff and was well behaved. I did the same to offender no.3 who swore at me and offender no.2 is absent.
It's put an end to it today...but I'm sure they'll be back to normal soon enough. It's enough for me to perhaps get some sleep now and realise they're little boys inside and just because the outside is big 6'2" boys they're really nothing to be scared of. Even when they're draped in designer gangsta clothing from head to toe. I've a raging headache though and two hours left. I'm so tired but I'm pleased with myself for coming in and doing this. I had to or those anxieties would have just hounded me forever. I bought chips. And a coke. And I don't even care today (had change in my pocket I found TBF from last month so not even out of this month's PM).MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Ah thank you all 🥰 I feel empowered standing up to them. They've already scared a tutor off for weeks on end. They seem to think that's the way it's done. Be loud scary rude and horrible and we won't come back. They didn't realise how stubborn I am even if they did scare me last week and make me cry (thank goodness they didn't see that). His face was a picture. And I've been supporting him since I started in November so hopefully he will remember my name now 😉😁. Possibly not. But I'm happy to keep reminding him.
I took some paracetamol and got through the afternoon. We had GCSE maths for two hours 🙄 and thankfully worst offender didn't show ☺️ another usual suspect turned up though and she was being her usual ignorant self. I despair sometimes. I'm paid to help her and yet I spent the lessons helping others who actually wanted help. I'm getting very good at GCSE maths 🫣🙄. Sixth lesson of the week today....this afternoon it is usually a very noisy lesson as they're allowed to socialise (bear in mind most of my students are special ed many don't have very good social skills) but they like to turn awful music up so Loud my head bangs and kick footballs around badly (usually we end up in the firing line). It was like I had someone looking over me today. Another class wanted half the hall, we had to turn the music off (yay). And next week I asked if I could take half the class who does not want to sit in a noisy environment to a quiet place. I got the okay so yay no more awful Friday afternoons to look forward to (dread).
The extra hour I've been working I was told I won't get paid but instead it will accumulate and I get to take days toil at the end of term as we wind down. Fine with me. I'd rather not push my wage into the tax bracket and take the time in summer as the weather is nicer.
Dinner is onions, baby sweet corn chopped up, cauliflower all courtesy of work kitchen as they were chucking it out and some pasta. GF for me.
Have to go shopping tomorrow we're down to empty fridge and cupboards now...

Bravo! 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Also very proud of you.
Good news on sorting out the the extra hour ‘reimbursement’. Makes sense not to go up a tax bracket for a only a small amount and that extra leave day will be quite a treat 😊
