  • I have one person who wants a space on a mini workshop I've written/ made  proof will be in the pudding when they pay the deposit. I have set myself a target of 5 people booked on to this workshop (it's an in person one so perhaps not as easy to sell as an online course).

I feel happy about taking this forward and have lots of ideas swirling.
I do not feel happy about the potential new workplace, but is this just nerves?
I am going to meditate on it. If I can throw myself in to making money from workshops, classes and online courses I could make enough to bridge the gap we have currently of 'having just enough' to 'having enough to save for things we want' without me needing to put myself into the 'normal' workplace where oddities like me never thrive.... (i like being odd btw  )

What’s worrying you about the potential new workplace? Is it just nerves or is it a ‘spidey-senses’ thing?
Perhaps go for the interview, asking ancestors and spirit guides to go along with you and watch it with you and just see how it pans out?

It's in an educational setting the same as my previous job before I moved and the position is helping the ones who made me want to quit the last job...if ya catch my drift. I am so sensitive I don't take well to shouting, anger and all that is likely to come with it  The position is 24 hours and well paid enough though that I could probably put up with it for a little while. I am definitely going to meditate more on this. Not all places are the same and I need to keep telling myself that.

Probation period is not just for the emoployer it is for you too, I know you don't want to go from pillar to post, however try them out if you are unsure.

Hmmmm…. This reads to me like you know EXACTLY what dynamic you will potentially be working in then. 😉  I reckon it would be worth sitting with “What would have helped me in this type of role last time?” - getting that straight in your head and taking some questions into the interview with you on those topics will help you assess whether it would be the same as last time or better. Remember it is a two way process …. 😉

I do and potentially it is the SAME children moving up to this school from the last which makes me even more wary. That last school had a real issue with kids (I think it was actually mismanagement of the school but there we go) and some were borderline feral with their attitude to anyone in a role that was dishing out rules to adhere to. Hmm.
I am going to go to this one and I will ask what support there is because there was none in the last place. Surely they can't all be as bad as each other (institutions that is).

Ah … I understand your wariness then. However, this also gives you a USP in that you already know some of the ins and outs of these children that could be useful to this potential employer (without breaching confidentiality of course).

  • Well I'm so busy this morning I have half written several posts then been distracted and didn't post 🤣
I think you're both right on the fact I do know some of these kids and honestly it's what is putting me off the most. Perhaps it's not the best fit for me. Battle of egos every shift because that's what I descend into no matter how much I try to rise above 🙈 at least I'm honest eh. It's also a big reason why my DS was homeschooled AND why we moved so I will go and honestly I think I will be asking as many questions as they are 🤣

I've already been to shops for food we have run out of fruit and eggs for ds so went and got those. My friend is on her way over too haven't seen her in months now so can't wait.

It was a NSD yesterday btw so 2 now I believe...
