could you have procrastinated on the bins owed to the weather? That would be my reasoning if it was me? The kitchen sounds like it will be bright and colourful..brilliant. Have a good day. All the best. HotdogX

Making a commitment here to start a vision board myself today.

Re the leaks etc in the conservatory, could you elevate some of the pieces of furniture and tarp them in the short term, save having every single item in the rest of the house with you?

I think it is more the fact I've been feeling under the weather and the stairs up to the heavens (or so it feels like going up to our room at the top) seems such a long way when I've come down for the day 🤣
I have already got the bin bags out though and some polish and bathroom cleaner. It will get done today! And I will leave bin bags in each bin so I can just take them out on my way down and replace them with what I'm leaving up there. That seems easier...to have all the things up there rather than down here 😁

The leaks are coming from the ceiling so dripping down. I don't know how but it seems we placed the sofa directly in the middle (luckily) and the drips were pooling around it but hadn't reached it just yet. It would have done though. I'm going to try one way of furniture placement this morning otherwise I think I will put some back out there and arrange around leaks 🤣 just like in the old days when mum had buckets and saucepans when it rained because of a roof leak we had 🤣

  • Okay I have an interview for next Monday.
Not sure how I'm going to talk away me walking out on the last job yet. The slot is an hour long, it's been a while since I've done such a long interview....not even sure the job is right for me but could be good enough for now 🤔😊

  • Explain it like you have explained to us, it was a poorly organised, with no training, and the management were rude to staff because of their lack of experience. You have applied for the role here because you thought this situation wouldn't happen here and you want to be a part of a good team and you are capable of working independently also.
  • I forgot to say congratulations on getting your interview, you are obviously doing something right...good luck.
  • Thanks hotdog my DP said the same. I am hopeful this could be a good enough job in a nice enough place to help bring some much needed money into the house for renovations and also allow me to do something useful with my time.

I have nearly finished my online course I have 2 more modules left which I hope to get done by the end of the week.
I have had another course sent to me - a mini one for free so I may do that too. I think they are all helpful or useful and I love learning. I have also reactivated my business page that I started and then got so busy with house renovations before I kind of abandoned. I will go back to it and start posting and see what comes of it. Ideally I would love to have the drive and motivation and dedication to make something of this so I don't need to take on 'okay' jobs that are never going to light my world on fire.

I need to find the HR number of my old job, I am pretty sure I should have been paid and I haven't heard anything. So I will try to chase that up. We could do with the money. Good news on CM we made our last payment last month and apparently we have overpaid by £130 or something like that. I suspect we won't get it back but it is good news for the budget going forward. Next month when new wages start flowing in and we now have the £420 CM back we should be almost a grand up albeit after new car expenses possibly more like £500-600 up. But that is still up. Which is good because obviously bills went up when we moved. We should still be up by a couple of hundred quid taking into consideration absolutely everything though so that is great, I will be able to get the savings and OP back on track soon enough. I have held off putting anything away this month till I know we have paid everything.

  • Today's gratitude:

    * I am grateful for the last job irritating me so much I wanted and felt I needed to change something drastically in my life! It has spurred me on to reactivate my forgotten page/ dreams of following my passions.
    * I am thankful for the sun being out I am going to go and take a walk in a bit
    * I am thankful for the forgotten courses I had paid for, they are a great way of reminding me of what I love in life
    * I am thankful that I could log onto my forgotten about website that DP spent hours lovingly putting together for me and that I totally abandoned out of fear of stepping into the unknown.

Re-framing how my last job went- it was a very strong reminder to me that I deserve better, am capable of better than that and have the skills to do better. All that was holding me back was my confidence in myself and fear of the unknown. I figure I either keep myself in fear (what if no one buys my services, what if people hate it) or I jump in and try anyway and then at least I can say to myself, you tried your best! Okay pep talk over. I have a post on the fb page, a blog post on my website and I will wait for all the work to flood in 🫣😁

DD was in a grump this morning because she started her period, I felt sorry for her so I said I would do pizza for dinner, I am grateful for that now as I have spent most of my day doing courses and writing blog posts (and rearranging furniture lol).
