I've done my vision board. If you've been meaning to do one but haven't got round to it, or want to update yours the energy is perfect right now. We are two days away from an eclipse and the energy is just right to be putting down into words what you want to achieve over the next few months/ year. Mine is basic as I've a bit of a headache still (had It since last week now) so not my usual pretty pictures printed off the net it's just written down in Sharpies on bits of paper with things I want to manifest ✨✨✨
NSD today!
I will start keeping count for October I think am aiming for 15! 1/15 so far 😁❤️MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. May 1st, £116, 123Mortgage Overpayments - September-December, £152.46. Jan £103.27, Feb £115, March £91.50, April £100, May £200.

Morning all, another day where I've slept in! My body is loving this catch up but I've missed seeing the kids off to school twice now. Not that they probably even noticed 🙈
I've been doing some more cross stitching whilst watching TV (more focused on the sewing tbh) and it's nice to pick up a hobby I've not done in two decades!
I'm hoping for another NSD today.
So far from the Mr Lid shop I've had a mouldy potato and an onion. Not too impressed. I'm tempted to go get it back out of the compost heap and take them back to the shop as I found the receipt.
Dhal for dinner today. Salad is now off the menu for dinner and I've replaced it mainly with gravy 🤣
Plans for today:-
Pop to the bank
Make dinner
Meditate
Read
Hoover house
Tidy a little
Washing pile (does this ever end 🧐)
DP is on countdown now to his new job starting so he's winding down the current job. He's excited 😊 although not sure where he's supposed to be or anything yet. It's a WFH position however he's thinking he's expected to go show his face at HQ the first week so I have put aside what I hope is enough petrol money. 🤞
I am *trying* this month to foresee any spends before they're happening....I'll let you know how I get on with that 🤣
DP spent most his working day yesterday reconciling YNAB as it's been wrong for weeks. I think it's my bank not connecting properly it is taking weeks to move transactions across so I'm inputting the transactions in manually. They should then link with the bank ones when they come in - some are and some are just duplicating and this is what's thrown everything off. We ended up having to adjust my account by over a hundred quid to make it right. 🧐 I hope this gets easier. There are many features I always liked about it so I have paid for it even with these issues and hopefully we can find a way around this. DP account connects perfectly and quickly (San tam Der) mine is rubbish (NAT west).
Right anyway tea is brewed off for the second cup ☕MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. May 1st, £116, 123Mortgage Overpayments - September-December, £152.46. Jan £103.27, Feb £115, March £91.50, April £100, May £200.

They sound like good plans for the day, also I am glad your body likes the new regime, which might be a sign to go self employed, you can choose your own hours and you wouldn't need to move from the house, if you can use the spare room eventually.
I have chosen to not pay for a budgeting tool, but then I work with accounts so I shouldn't need it with regards ynab, plus I am with Natwest and move money to different current accounts etc as I see fit, so it probably wouldn't work for me. Although it wouldn't hurt to see what there is out there. I think I will have a look.
Enjoy the day, HotdogX0 -
Wasn't a NSD. I spent £4 in a CS. £2 was on a book for DDIL for christmas & £2 on a book for me too (vegan fakeaways!)
I have taken some cash out and moved a bit of money around again, kids have their pocket money now and I have some cash in my purse for mine too.
I have opened a new bank account. I have just added DP to it this morning so hopefully in a couple of days that will be set up.
My plan is:
My account- just for my pocket money & and personal spends/savings
DP account - same as above but for DP
Bills account- as it says on the tin
Joint spending account- Groceries, Fuel & any other foreseen spends to be transferred into here on payday.
I still have:
A xmas savings account
An EF account
A subscription account for yearly bills due.
As keeps happening right now, I keep bailing out the grocery budget and also any other spends that are over with either savings pots or my own pocket money because it is all mixed up. This might seem complicated but I am hoping it makes it easier for me to do. I have also unlinked my account from YNAB I will reconcile it myself so it remains right.
I have added DP & myself to the electoral roll this morning as both our credit has taken a hit. Probably because of the new mortgage, car loan and so I thought I would add a new bank account before it takes any more hits and we can't get oneCan't think how else to help my credit score (we want it to remain 'good' so we can get a home improvement loan in the future.)
I have lentils and rice soaking for dinner, just about to meditate as house is empty then I will crack on with dinner when the kids are home in an hour
Grateful today for:
Communication with DP
My free course I am doing via SM it is uplifting and inspiring & full of positive energy.
My course that I paid for ages ago and have just picked up again, only a few more modules left to do! I have done 2 more today.
My walk in the rain, without the dog so I could go at my paceit was nice and refreshing.
Not going OD last month, when I look at our spends vs income I am not sure how we didn't!
Thankful I have put some money back into pots this month.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. May 1st, £116, 123Mortgage Overpayments - September-December, £152.46. Jan £103.27, Feb £115, March £91.50, April £100, May £200.

I have decided to move some furniture about in a bit. I will rope DS in. He gets to flex his muscles and prove his strength and I get to have furniture moved about, win win.
I am planning on painting the kitchen I had a vision of it earlier all painted. I wasn't going to but I need to be realistic, the kitchen was (badly) painted before and it is all chipping on the cupboards and the handles half painted and falling off. Ideally I want a new kitchen but for now.....a tin of paint, new handles and some hard work- £50 tops. And it is in the largest room in the house, the kitchen diner so I just want the energy right in there. I have painted lots of furniture and a kitchen before so know what I am doing and just need to purchase the paint really! Already have all other materials for it.
Right kids will be home in a mo best get on and start the dinner and work out where I want the furnitureMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Thanks for the inspiron DFW
I have put together my list to manifest and tomorrow will see if I can find some pictures.
I need a picture of an orange car and a magnet, that will start me off!
Huurah finally got my head over this mental block about making a vision board. Ridiculous. I think i was thinking it had to be all singing and dancing!
I like you plan for the kitchen, it mashed sense to tart it up for now as new kitchens are so expensive!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

I have decided on a kitchen colour- it's a horrid boring grey at the moment with no depth and there is no sunlight in that part of the house so it is dull and not a nice space at the moment, so I have chosen a colour with some depth but also bright enough that it is cheery, and it isn't on the beige or grey spectrumthe tiles are already beige - I may paint them white, the previous owner had made a start on painting them grey to match the cupboards but it is like she either gave up mid tile or ran out of paint
I have one side done, and chipping badly and one side not done. So grey and beige is my kitchen right now
I am manifesting green, white, pink and some yellow & blue (yes I like colour)

Morning all, I have woken up bright and early today so left DP in bed. He always gets up with the kids so thought I would do it. I will make lunches in a mo and some boiled eggs and porridge for the kids.
Yesterday when moving the furniture around I found a puddle. Then another. And yes you guessed it, another one. All around the sofa that was in the 'conservatory' i/e lean to that is falling apart. So panic stations I dragged it in to the kitchen diner, and left it there. Didn't know what to do as my plan was to swap that with one in the living room, but I didn't want another sofa taking the place in the leaks. It seems the roof on the lean to is leaking down one whole side. The floor was soaked in all the rain we have had. So we moved all sofas in for now and I have some rearranging to do today to find space for a smallish sofa in the kitchen diner which is already filled with furniture
Dinner was nice, I have two ready for another day portioned up and ready to go in the freezer.
I have some plans for today:
Hopefully NSD
finish finding homes for leftover furniture as I need to move all the little plant tables in from conservatory too
sort washing out as it is all done now
finish my course- would you believe I have 4 more I started and never finished either so have those to do on the back of this if I want to!
Empty all bins- I don't know why I keep putting this off & hoover upstairs today (did downstairs yesterday)
Might add to this later but for now just a few bits.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. May 1st, £116, 123Mortgage Overpayments - September-December, £152.46. Jan £103.27, Feb £115, March £91.50, April £100, May £200.
