Gosh milann you had a much better experience at the doctors than I did this week. I think I hurt the top of my shoulders carrying a heavy cage. It was very painful when I started to walk or did any lifting of stuff. I hardly ever go to the doctors, rang them up to ask how I go about making an appointment. They said the doctor would ring me, which he did about four hours later. Asked me to move my head to the left then the right. Said I probably had hurt it at the top of my spine and make an appointment with the physio. Two days later she said the same to me as the doctor had. Gave me a sheet with 3 exercises to do and that was that. So it seems my doctors can diagnose with out physically seeing you now. It is a bit worrying.x
    That’s actually shocking 😮 x

Amber….that is worrying. Has it improved any. If not I’d get back to them and ask for an x ray.
I’ve had a couple of busy days. I was out with a friend on Saturday and Ds came around on Sunday. We nipped to Mr T for a few bits as I’d decide to cook a selection of dishes from my Persian cook books . So much for a quick trip as they’ve completely redesigned the shop and I couldn’t find anything. Don’t think I’ve visited since Christmas (it used to be my go to free carpark for town when I still had my car…..I’d park, nip in to use the loo and buy a token item for letting me partake of the amenities 😂😂) Anyway £40 later at the till I remembered I had a £3 voucher….id just finished paying and asked the cashier if I could do anything’No….its too late’ was her reply with attitude 😕 I was more miffed with the attitude than not getting the money off as it was my own fault. So I toddled off to customer services….showed my receipt and was handed £3 cash 😃 by a lovely gentleman who couldn’t have been any more helpful. Hope they never put the cashier on customer services 🤞 She could have pointed me in the direction of customer services, even if she couldn’t do anything herself.
Anyway I had a lovely day cooking and very tasty it was too…..we’ve got enough to last us a few days, as has ds.
I did salmon in turmeric, herby lamb steaks, roasted cauliflower in coconut milk and peanut, butter bean patties, aubergine dip, potatoes roasted in tomatoes, sweetcorn and chorizo, veg cous cous and a Bakewell tart with homemade blackcurrant jam. Mmmmmm…..wonder why I don’t loose weight 😂😂😂 It wasn’t actually too bad as it was only the coconut milk, peanut butter, chorizo and of course the Bakewell tart that I had to count on SW. There are at least 8 meals maybe 10 so a can of coconut milk and tablespoon of peanut butter. I didnt have any flatbreads as the others did.
Ive paid for it today though…..now I know why I don’t stand in the kitchen for long periods. I’m so stiff and my hip, ankle and toe are protesting a bit too much for my liking.
Today we have been out for an experiential bus ride. We travelled on one bus to a town not far away, had a coffee and travelled on a different route back as we couldn’t quite decide which way it went…..it was a nice trip and not strenuous at all. Just what I needed today. I did potter and do a bit of tidying once I got home and Dh went to collect Millie Motorhome who has been in to have some warranty work done. Hopefully they’ll have sorted the problem once an for all.
The singing group have opened a group quite close to me on a Tuesday afternoon so if we’re not doing anything else I’ll pop over. If you pay for a session per week you can attend as many groups as you wish in the week 👍
Ive paid my cc in full and transferred a bit of cash into my ISA…..it’s not the best interest 3.something but linked to my current account and I can withdraw 4 times a year. The account matures at the end of the month so I was weighing up how to transfer it to a new one. I was pleased to see it looks simple enough 😃 This is my house improvement fund as I think we need a damp course - we certainly need some work doing with damp that has arrived since we had cavity wall insulation. I want to decorate but it seems pointless if we need invasive work.

  • Definitely get the damp sorted sooner rather than later. It minimises the potential work. Just don’t ask me to relive how I know

What do we need to do to receive an invitation to dine at yours? 😋 Your Persian feast sounds wonderful.

Glad to hear you are feeling better after your bus adventure.

That’s sad about the relative. Such a cruel condition.

I did go to SW and actually lost 1 lb. I won the raffle a big bag of fruit and veg including a very heavy watermelon. Twas good fun carrying it home on the bus 😳😂.
No plans for the rest of the day other than a bit of pottering in the garden. Dh is out this evening so I’m looking forward to a lazy night.

Yesterday was a very mixed day. Went to see a show called The Last Laugh with a friend which wasn’t my usual sort of show but I quite enjoyed it. The actors were really good and looked and sounded like Eric Morcambe, Tommy Cooper and Bob Monkhouse. We’d eaten out and had a lovely evening then Dh phoned saying the relative was in a state so he collected me from the tram and we headed over. By the time we got there the crisis had been forgotten. They weren’t with it and confused but had no recollection of phoning us. It was nearly 1 o clock when we got home so we’ve both been tired and ratty today. I know I couldn’t switch off and woke up with a banging headache. I’m usually in bed early even if not asleep.
I took myself off for a bus ride and bought a cuppa whilst out and about. I knew the way the day was going we’d have argued over nothing so a bit of space was the order of the day. I actually had a lovely day and iknow it’s concern making us both snap.
£8 spent on a few fresh bits and a cuppa. I resisted cake….especially at £4.50 a slice 😳 I bought a full tub of Cornish clotted cream ice cream for less than a small slice of cake. Ice cream is still unopened in the freezer 😇
