Not much to report today. I want to sort the room and put z beds up for gks who will be arriving on Saturday. It has been used for storage for garden things we moved when the roof was done. I’ll transfer them into my bedroom as they need some repairs before going back out. Once they’ve been put out it’s easy to forget about them 😳😂 I want to have a sort out and spring clean in there so I’d best get on.
No plans for any spend today. Not having a car to jump into a ‘nip’ to the shops when I think of buying something has done wonders for my spending 😁👏😁👏
I’m going to Wales tomorrow for the day with friends to check her caravan so I’m looking forward to it 😁

We decided not to pay for our garden waste kerbside service.

We would only use it for the hedge clippings so the few times a year it gets clipped we just take them to the tip which is only a 5 minute drive away. (and has a good pub over the road!)

One set of shelves sorted and cleaned. 2 bags of stuff the girls no longer play with and some craft and knitting patterns I don’t think I’ll ever use have been decluttered. I’ve wiped the shelves of the 2nd lot of storage in there and will sort things as I put them back. I’ve just come down for a dinner break and will head back when the shelves will have aired out ready to refill 👍 I’ve got my bedding in the washing machine so I also want to give my bedroom a quick dust and Hoover too. I’ll save the declutter in there until after we come back from York the weekend after next 👍 I should be going to knit and natter this evening but I know my arm won’t take it after being used for a couple of days. I’m learning to pace myself 🤨 I suppose I could just turn up for the natter….will see how the day pans out. Tea is ready…just needs zapping in microwave. Lamb and chickpea served with veg cous cous. Leftovers from Sunday which were delicious. The lamb was in Jamie Oliver’s 5 ingrediens book....so easy in the slow cooker 🤨

On Tuesday i had an email from the hospital where I’m waiting to go for a steroid injection. It was explaining all the ins and outs, why you have them and alternative treatments…..the only thing missing was when it was going to take place. So I phoned the hospital which is a private hospital but I go as an NHS patient. Nobody knew anything about it so they put me through to the consultant’s secretary who phoned me back later in the day. You couldn’t make it up 😳😳😳 it should have been that afternoon…..the same day the info was sent to me BUT it turns out no appointments were sent out to anybody. So the consultant and his team…there are always at least 5 staff including a radiographer and a couple of nurses too were sat in theatre twiddling their thumbs all afternoon. The secretary wasn’t amused and was full  of apologies. What a total mess up and waste of money. I hope the NHS bills them for the staff’s time.
I went to Wales yesterday with a friend to check out her caravan as she is thinking of replacing it before summer. We had a lovely day….i and a jacket potato for dinner, quick walk along the seafront. It does me good to see the sea….even though it was a grey day - seeing the waves was so uplifting. After we saw her van we went for a cuppa and bara brith. It was a lovely day and a little rucksack handbag happened to call out to come home with me 🤭🤭😜 so I supported a little gift shop with my purchase 😄 I’ve been looking for a small blue bag for ages so I’m really pleased with it. It’s not actually a double strapped rucksack but just has 1 strap which can be changed to go over either shoulder or be worn at the front of your body. It’ll go with my blue boots nicely 😄 it wasn’t a NSD but I’m happy.
The beds are all made up in readiness for Dd and gks coming at weekend. I just need Dh to move all the junk that was in the bedroom which  is now in the hall waiting to go back in the car or Motorhome or better still the TIP. The car should have been going to get the heating sorted today but they phoned and cancelled yesterday as the part still hasn’t arrived. It’ll be spring soon and we won’t need the heating 🤬 It’s 3 months on 20th February since we bought the car.

Bleeping cars. That’s shocking about the hospital. I had a text reminder about an appointment for next week & it says that missed appointments cost our health board £227!!

Glad your new roof is looking good 🙂 and I hope your arm gets better soon. I didn’t bother with my councils garden waste scheme even though I have loads. I bought a cheap compost bin and used to compost as much as possible until I lost control of the garden while I was ill, it’s now in a massive pile out of sight at the tip of the garden so I call it my wildlife area 😀

Good to see you OBL. I think we’re veering towards not paying for the bin…..dh has really got a bee in his bonnet about it. I’ll make sure I give the garden a good spring clean up before they start charging and will be happy to go along with whatever he wants.
I met a friend yesterday and was treated to breakfast and a bunch of tulips. I’ve not seen her for ages and we picked up just where we left off. We dashed and did some shopping- I used the Christmas savings card I’d built up for Christmas but didn’t get around to using so it felt like a free shop 😁 still got £20 left towards my next shop.
From there we visited a relative who has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It’s a sad situation and I’m not sure what the outcome will be as she is refusing help and doesn’t acknowledge there’s a problem and thinks everyone is ganging up on her 😩
Dd and gks are  arriving at tea time. Shopping is done, z beds are up and made so I’m looking forward to seeing them. Let the fun begin 😁
They go home on Tuesday so I’ll have a couple of days before we head off to York in Millie Motorhome on Friday for the weekend. It seems a long time since we were away in her so I’m looking forward to it.
