An implantologist can explain how they can build up bone so the gums will be fine with an implant. Ask me how I know! Lol, Mr daisy has ended up with many implants so knows the detail inside out and upside-down haha22: 3🏅 4⭐ 23: 5🏅 6 ⭐ 24 1🏅 2⭐ 25 🏅 🥈⭐ Never save something for a special occasion. They can use a special drill to capture the bits of teeth and mix that with your own blood to help with thin gums …DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

you two have made it sound a lot better than the implant person who talked about taking bone from the roof of my mouth (which is where a Spanish pal had her extra bone made from).
Essentially I think the problem really is I'm scared that it might hurt both during and after and I just dont feel I can take the pain.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

You can have a bone graft using powdered cow bone (that’s what I had). Gum graft I had from the roof of my mouth which wasn’t pleasant. If I were you I’d look for another implant specialist. I can give you the details of a good one in Hampshire if that’s any use.5

Mr d was told they can put 'artificial bone' in. Its a sort of mesh/sand texture and your own bone grows into it making your bone bigger/stronger.22: 3🏅 4⭐ 23: 5🏅 6 ⭐ 24 1🏅 2⭐ 25 🏅 🥈⭐ Never save something for a special occasion. ok well thank you @daisy_1571 and @greenbee I have learnt from this that i need to quiz my dentist a lot more. To be fair to him he was not discussing options clearly because I started seeing him when I was in a mess with the ex and he didn't want to do any work while I was so stressed. i had the bone scan to start the process at a point in the pandemic when that was possible and then I walked out of home and my dentist didn't want to do anything while I was struggling so much. I think this has all been forced along a bit because of the root canal being infected from old work and me seeing a different dentist who doesn't know about the ex trauma.
@greenbee your dentist looks an incredible chap but he is 2.5 hours each way from me which is a bit far but he sounds great on line.
I have learnt a lot today. And I have also discovered the pain returns if I stop taking the homeopathic remedy so clearly the infection did not clear up as I suspected just reduced. I will take it for a few more days and will be at the dentist for pain relief work soon giving me time to research options.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Another lovely day here. The slow cooker meals are working well, I'm sure they are working out cheaper and I also manage to freeze at least one portion so slowly I will build up a stash of "ready meals". I've been sending a portion of each to the VNM's mother. Apparently she has given up cooking and is just eating sandwiches which sounded a little tragic to me so I've been sending food. No containers are coming back though although he assured me she loved the roast beef stew I made. I've said this can't be a permanent arrangement but will do until her care assessment.
Between us here the only reason it cannot be a long term arrangement is I don't want to end up feeling guilt if I stop cooking like this and I know I will both stop cooking because the warmer weather means my very fast dinners might be just salads and also because I really dont need another thing "to do" just now.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In other news the Charming Cob has started his joint/arthritis supplement and is booked in at the vets for a complete lameness work up. This will be expensive I think but at least I will know the full picture. I rode him briefly to see how he was doing and I could not stop grinning. I have missed riding him so much so I really want to know how bad his joints are so we can make a decision about his riding future (he will live with me forever but I will not ride him if it is causing him pain).
In contrast I rode Most Handsome who was so badly behaved I could not even walk a circle properly on him. I got off so disappointed and have arranged for an instructor to come and yell at both of us today. We need to sort out why he is badly behaved.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
