Wow what a find those lights are gorgeous I would want them restored properly as well you are so lucky with VNM. Mind you you do deserve it after the ex I recon the neighbours knew this and kept away because of him. I am sure the house will look lovely once they are up and you will have nice welcoming lights to come home too.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I remember walking along the road we lived in with my ex and saying hi to a couple on the way, ex asked who they were - erm our next door neighbours! Apparently no one ever spoke to him but maybe if he didn’t scowl so much… It’s good when you get on with your neighbours, I have had some awful ones in the past so you do appreciate it.

Glad you had a good weekend to sort and well done on the home improvements!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I think some of us that land up with toxic exes have been led to believe that we are the toxic ones. When they finally move on we think no-one will want to know us, but that is far from the truth. My biggest thrill was the kids from his youth club that called by to check on me. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw them

You obviously have ‘a good eye’ as they say 😊
Looking forward to hearing about how they come up after restoration. And yes, people do avoid you when you are with someone toxic …

Yes I am @Slinky
Trip to dentist and stopped on the way back to drop off a few bits I am donating to the charity shop. Some stuff I am donating I could sell but I am going for the easy out of house although larger stuff is being sold. Someone coming this evening to pick up a huge weighted blanket that i thought would help me when I was with the ex and it seems what I really needed was to be by myself rather than with him. So have sold that.
Donated a sign that said "hello world lets make today a great day" i really do not need a sign now for that sort of thing
Came out with a picnic cutlery set for £1 Since I am down to 3 of everything only I was thinking it might be a high risk strategy to take forks etc out on a picnic ::) so consider that £1 well spent.
Now very behind at work so signing off from here to catch up Hope everyone has some of the glorious sun we have here this afternoon.
