Quietened the mind on business sell stuff with some physical work. Have filled another two ton bags of kindling. We are now out of ton bags to fill. Dragged another pile of timber to one place for VNM to chainsaw up.
During the week hopefully we can find time to chop up the garden waste and put in bin and strim the really tall nettles then we can have a go at levelling the remaining stuff which is down to very small twigs and soil
that’s the plan. It was hard going. WattyDog selected a favourite stick from the many available and played with his special one for a couple of hours. It often had to be retrieved from the heaps for kindling because his human did not realise the “specialness “ of his one

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I have bags, as well as hay…

Stinky empathises with WattyDog about the stick, as his human regularly collects up all the sticks and puts them back in the pile.

When my DD's dog is visiting, she stares wistfully at the sticks waiting to go in the log burner, and once I've given permission, gently pulls one out. It may be the first of several - apparently permission, once given, is unlimited. As a puppy, her thing was pine cones. I quite enjoy all the resulting debris on the carpet but there's not really enough left to go back in the pile!
