I love the way the stables and the animals are spotless as well as the house for the photos! 😉

That is gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. The light in the house. Beautiful. I fear we would be too messy for such spotlessness 😂
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I'd very quickly get it to a level of messiness from where it wouldn't recover until it was my turn to sell it 😂

Lovely day yesterday. Big horse show where we enjoyed the exclusive ringside parking I splashed out on earlier in the year. What a joy the whole thing was. Very hot so we opened the boot and all three of us were able to sit in the boot and watch the show protected from the sunshine. WattyDog did not have to walk very far which was the whole point. He has been to this show every year since he was a puppy (well when PPH permitted) and I would not have wanted to go and leave him behind so it was a pleasure to sit there with him.
VNM really enjoyed the competition too which was a bonus and all three of us came home tired and happy

Some work done and started on a plan for the next 12 to 18 months. The health issues and the loss of people over the last few years has reminded me in a very real way that the VNM and I are slowly shuffling to the front of the queue.
I started the diary MF but needing to rebuild not only finances but also my life, and, now I need to work on actually redesigning that life for the next chapter. I'm out of the emergency rebuild phase, now time to redesign life. I've been thinking a lot about what that will look like and now have some ideas … so moving forwards even if at this point they are just scribblings in my notebook.

Lazy Sunday - took CC out - and NEWS - the pig has returned.
It was very hot so the pig was in its shelter dozing and CC did not spot it. Well I did it, so CC probably did but clearly it was too hot to make a fuss.
Came home and gave CC a bath as he had got very sweaty just walking. Found some equine shampoo that promised to restore his coat from grubby to sparkling white and gleaming black. Suffice to say the shampoo bottle over exaggerated its abilities in this field but has turned my nails a very pale purple.

The nails sound rather fetching. Have you matching hair or something to complete the look? 😊
Someone explained to me that horses may smell that pigs are carnivores, and therefore are best avoided. It seems odd that CC didn't notice the offending animal this time, unless it was a different pig and therefore less evil?

That is the explanation I've always been given but CC hates most farmyard animals - sheep, cows even goats but he has a very particular hatred for "this pig" to the extent of usually refusing to go down the path but on Sunday he was clearly too hot to point out "the pig" was back.

Omg 😱 The Pig. Where on earth has he been? Obviously didn't send CC a postcard explaining his absence
