Can't remember who mentioned the Chub shorts (thank you), but I've finally got around to ordering a pair today (Mimosa!) to go under a little dress. They have 20% discount at the moment, and £1 flat rate shipping.

Great feedback @Slinky I'm waiting until the cooler weather as my short dress and short skirt are tweed. Way to hot for tweed at the moment (yard recorded 37 degrees yesterday)

win for the week - many many years ago I purchased a pair of cowboy boots in Selfridges childrens department. They were - at the time - very expensive. I made the two pals I was with promise not to tell PPH how much they had cost. I cannot imagine anyone paying that much for childrens boot (I have tiny feet). I adore these boots. They have been repaired quite a few times. Anyway playing on vinted I put the designer name (yes they are an expensive designer) into the search - and found a vintage pair of boots unworn and in original box the same size - so i asked for a couple of extra measurements as they are a different design - and - offered on them and offer accepted and boots on their way to me.

I am so excited - these are brown/black with leaves on - nowhere near as "bling" as my other pair but if they are half as nice they will be fabulous and were an absolute bargain at just £35 plus the £20 I had in Vinted from selling a jacket I no longer wanted.

I have one jumpsuit that just slides off, without unzipping. Agree re the state of loos at outdoor events, though. Without wanting to be indelicate, bushes are better for a simple wee.

I can't even fathom the thought of loos at outdoor events! In the distant past, when I worked back across the pond I remember the shewee coming into existance just as I stopped working in the great outdoors and moved into the office!

Busy day yesterday as full on CPD day. Was actually really interesting but I do struggle just watching my computer screen all day. The plus side was the cost (cheap) and no need to leave the house but the minus is just looking at a screen and that the VNM seems to think I am watching TV and couldn't understand why I was exhausted. I tried to explain about the concentration but I think he totally missed that.

He did however clear the water troughs out for the horses which was so helpful as they were disgusting with a lot of wildlife living in them.

Heat finally dropped here, possibly because we found the screens for the office windows and installed one so the window can be open making the room cool, will try to get the other one installed today so that will end the heatwave here in the south east! The heat in this house seems to work the wrong way - freezing in winter, boiling in summer - either colder than outside or hotter than outside.

As usual more to repair, the telephone line cable has come down in one of the storms damaging quite a few bricks. The building is only one brick layer being an old barn so will need to find a brick layer to do repairs. Previous hunts for brick layers have not found anyone so will put on the "to do" list.

I agree that online full day CPD is exhausting even with decent breaks built in. I have been known to doze off during some sessions and not always with camera off!💤🥱
