This would be mine too. Although I would like a nice campervan but not when the cost the same as a house!

KK can we only pick one thing?
I'd re-landscape the front and back gardens and buy all the surrounding fields, create a woodland, natural habits and lots of interesting places for the locals to ride their horses (dogs and walkers welcomed).
On the other hand maybe I would just buy an island somewhere and escape the craziness of the world.

Regarding your business Watty, I had to suddenly stop running mine. I'd planned to stop anyway, but had an accident which brought the end date forward. Previously I'd had some conversations with different people who would be possible purchasers, but they went nowhere. When I announced to my customers and suppliers that I was stopping, several people approached me about buying the business. I sold the assets and intelectual property, whilst keeping the limited company which had a lot of cash on the books, which I extracted over several following years. The handover took about 6 weeks. The person who bought it is still running it several years later.
Obviously I've no knowledge of your business, but is there any likelihood of this happening for you? Your courses where you have done all the prep for the presentations, could someone else pick that up and run with it? I didn't expect to sell to the person who bought it. Apparently they had always been interested in it, but never thought I'd be selling it so never mentioned it to me.

I think that might happen to me @Slinky Your way would be the way I would go in that case.
I don't want to go public just yet but when I get nearer to spreadsheet final days and make my intentions know then someone might step up. As for the course, I'd let that go with the business or maybe even run in the years I withdraw money if no one has come forward to buy the assets like mailing list.

Feeling very low yesterday. VNM finally almost made me take CC out late afternoon and we said hi to some children with their parents sitting outside a local pub. They little girl was waving so enthusiastically I asked if she wanted to say hello to him and he charmingly stood and accepted pats and cuddles. It did remind me that my much younger self would love the life I have now and as I rode away I had to give myself a good talking to.
The horsebox was repaired by VNM and can now be used in an emergency but during the repair another part was found to need repair so that has been ordered. Am now reading ads for horseboxes with a lot of interest as I am worrying about going out in this one but going out is about the only way to get some peace and non traffic riding.
The sun is out so trying to feel cheerful but a whole day of frantic work stretches ahead. Someone is coming to pick up the old bench cushions I've given away on market place so 2 more items gone.

You probably made that little girl's day. I hope today is better for you and the work is less frantic than expected.

Sometimes we just have to sit with our negative feelings as much as we want them to go away. Negative feelings are strong and that helps us to learn from them.
ETA: this is the season where you are learning to be you now with your experience behind you.

Thank you @WelshmansDaughter and @Cherryfudge
Cute WattyDog moment today. A lot of his toys are broken or lost so I bought two squeaky toy rugby balls, a hard ball he used to love and two glow in the dark balls. I can now round up all the broken balls and remove. Anyway I cut the top of the box these arrived in and unwrapped them all to great anticipation from WattyDog then took the box outside and let him choose.
He was beyond excited and refused to share his new toy with me but he did clearly identify the rugby balls as favourite 😀 the others are barely noticed.
The squeak is already broken in the selected toy 😀 but definitely best bit of day 😍 Best of all he then ran off to see if the old lady opposite was in to show her his new toy😍

(VNM said it was a waste of money buying him more toys esp as I was saving, but having seen the pleasure it gave both me and WattyDog toys were proclaimed a complete bargain).

How lovely to have a happy WattyDog. Stinky loves his toys too and likes to show them to visitors!
