I saw a recipe for replacing creme eggs the other day- it involved dates and orange rind. Looked quite nice. But then creme eggs are now 49p…

Creme eggs …. found a box of 5 in the fridge. Apparently VNM bought them but I'm trying to declutter the food stores so I ate 3 of them but apparently he thought they were "hidden". So much for me being sugar free!

My Choc-fest item of 5 bunnies was unavailable in this morning's delivery, but fortunately I bought 5 chicks too so that meagre portion of one each will go at place settings when DS&P come for a roast on

Glad to hear your biopsy was clear Watty.
I was somewhat downcast (to say the least) hearing about the proposed Dr's strike next week. I've waited over 14 months for a skin lesion to be removed, and have recently found out I have a heart problem and need an echocardiogram. Both are booked for next week…. I need to get a full diagnosis of the heart issue as I can't get travel insurance at the moment. I'd had a cardiogram in the distant past I'd forgotten about as the irregularities were minor, so can't get cover for a 'pre-existing condition' where I'm awaiting testing/outcome.

Oh @Slinky that is really awful, you've waited so long and now to be derailed by a strike. Let us hope it does not go ahead. Fingers crossed for you xx

Thanks. If the skin lesion gets knocked back I'll try and aim for it to be done in June. It's been there a good while and hasn't changed as far as I can tell. I don't want to be still recovering from stiches when we (hopefully) go on holiday at the end of May. I just want to have a firm diagnosis on the heart issue so I can sort the travel insurance. I took a calculated gamble that nothing serious would happen across the weekend, we've just got back from 4 nights in Spain where we went to a concert I booked last year.

End of the month and nearly end of the tax year. Pension gone down a fair bit due to world dramas I presume. It will pick up of course but it was a bit daunting looking at the figures and checking the progress to ultimate retirement plans.
Spending wise, on a par with last month, house bills down by £600 as didn't need gas or coal to just £304.45 Food bills higher at £476 - this is too high but I'm now having a big clear out of cupboards and freezer to get closer to just buying what I need and keeping home made ready meals in freezer. So in April hopefully will go down a fair bit. Horses even more than last month (ahem) but we bought hay, feed and everyone had a chiropractic appointment and CC had a meds order that came in at over £250. I need to diary when to order in 6 months so i don't have to do a starter course all over again which will be a saving. Own mental state meant I got in a bit of a muddle with the dates.
Other big expenses £1018 for something to do with an ecology survey for planning permission which is obviously a sort of one off and an investment/gamble on planning and £2215 on dental work and £450 on my car which has failed MOT so now requires more work. VNM trying to do the fix required to save money.
Grateful I can manage this expenditure and grateful for more dental appointments later in the week so hopefully I can cross dental work off the list of health issues to be addressed. I actually spent money on myself this month frivolously - I bought new make up, make up remover, a steam inhaler and a new journal. Got to laugh, even that came in substantially less than I spent on WattyDog's meds. Still the animals are a huge part of what makes my life worth living.
Also this month closed a random ISA with just £10.08 in - the effort to transfer it to my main ISA was not equal to the amount I would gain so I went for the simple option and just returned to my bank account.

For the last couple of weeks I've had a suspicion someone is using my prime a/c to watch things. Started when a series appeared and then a film - I assumed VNM had watched them but no, not so. Then another profile appeared so I deleted that, changed passwords and deleted the old firesticks and hoped that would sort it.
Only yesterday someone rented a film and started watching it - so tried the online chat but that was beyond the scope of it so had to ring amaz0n customer service. Fraud team to investigate and call me back but it seems the £3.49 refund might be a challenge as they refused to refund on basis movie was being watched. Have removed all my cards from the site and will wait to hear more from fraud (or will take up with credit card company)

I would imagine they may have a way of locating where the account is being used, even if they can't disclose that you you? If so, can you request they delete any users other than your current address?
